What if Strong says no and stays at UL?

He won't get five years. Patience is long gone. That's why the right hire was so critical. This program needs to be jumpstarted to start winning quickly or an already apathetic fanbase will stay home. Just the unfortunate reality of five unbelievably wretched years, two back-to-back putrid hires and a bucketful of bad decisions.

Strong will not turn it down, lol. He is excited about the opportunity and you whining about this hire, sit back and watch the recruiting class Strong pulls.

Between Gundy and Strong, I'd take Strong all day long. Gundy's teams play zero defense. Is that what we need right now? I don't believe Strong would say no to UT. I can't imagine any coach outside of the SEC turning down a big time SEC school unless you are talking about historical football schools like Southern Cal, Notre Dame etc. If they ask, he will say yes.

Lol, I see you don't follow recruiting much. Hatcher, Bell, Quick, North, Green, and Ramsey are all guys that we likely get now. We will probably have to tell some of the current commits to look elsewhere.

Hope it would be a lot better than where his current Louisville class is ranked...

OK, after they announce Strong tomorrow - let's take bets on the maroon who creates a post 'how long till we have to go after Gruden?'

Gruden will be at SD or Philly in NFL of course....

Yeah 73rd man. That's game changing for us right?! Gah I'm pissed.

Comparing who he recruited to Louisville to who he will recruit here is asinine. Have you ever seen their facilities? Jalen Ramsey took a visit there and loved Strong but didnt want to go to Louisville. There is a good chance he decommits from USC and signs with us now.

I fully expect this to happen. I've apparently pissed off the football gods at some point recently, so my teams can't enjoy any good news.

If we miss out on this, we better damn well have Gundy on the plane to Knoxville.

I think I just heard T.O.'s former PR lady say, "Charlie Strong has 3.75 million reasons to say yes to Tennessee.":)

Jurich, the AD at Louisville, said he is willing to make Strong the highest paid coach in the country if he has to. I say go for it.

I'll admit that. I really DON'T follow it that much but I know enough to be able to look up past rankings... Louisbille ain't been headed in the right direction and they were down the list to start with over Strong's tenure.

If Strong is such a great recruiter then why did these kids commit at other places?

I'm so confused why anyone in their right mind seems to think Strong or even Fedora would ever be a bad hire. I think many are being unreasonable.

You remember the guy that done the story on how Dooley ignored local high schools? The same guy asked some of the top recruits in TN and GA how they would react to TN hiring Gruden, you can imagine the response. The only other coach that got a rise outta them was Charlie Strong.
