What I'm hearing..

As I understand it, there are some character issues, and issues with his "camp". Not sure if this is still the case or not.

Sounds like a kid with an Entourage hoping for the big pay day down the road. Why can't these kids see this and shed themselves of these leeches?

I must stress, I don't have first-hand info on this one, but several months ago (say 6-9 months ago) that was the talk going around.

As of the players committed now,

Without Hubbs this would be a disappointing class.

We need Nichols bad.

Either way a kid having changed that many schools in such a short time frame spells "risk". CCM will more than likely pass on him.

But we have Hubbs, so therefore it's not a dissapointment.

Are we seriously gonna start seeing the Martin can't recruit posts again if we miss on Nichols?

Landry has played at 4 high schools in 4 years.

I have to wonder if he's being guided by someone who keeps bouncing him from school to school. I could understand the move from Texas to Huntsville as that was supposed to be about his Dad's job. But when you step back and look at 4 schools in 4 years, you start thinking something else was going on. Wonder how long Landry will be in Knoxville if Cuonzo lands Jaquel Richmond, Shelton Mitchell or Caleb Joseph in the '14 class?

Found this interesting..From today

“@PeoriaIrish: 2013 Wing Alec Peter has received a scholarship from Tennessee!”

Wonder if we may have got some bad news somewhere or that this offer is conditional

Ron Lewis saying this is a "legitimate" offer, and that Wisconsin and Illinois have been in within the last week. Theyre trying to convince him to wait until spring to see how their rosters shake out...maybe that's what CCM is also saying??

It was some stuff going on with his parents why he went from Texas to bama. The only basketball minded transfer was the recent one to Huntington.

Dang, talk about reading between lines that aren't there.

Don't recall saying Martin couldn't recruit bigs (seemed to an alright job with Stokes).

Typically I agree, however as I said Landrys situation wasn't typical. Don't expect trouble with his transcript, or for him to bounce around.

That's the key there. If the kid is taking a bunch of AP classes then it really doesn't matter how many schools he's been to (don't really know the classes Landry is taking). He'll get cleared. However from the outside looking in it does seem negative.

He's already taking some college classes.
