What is going on with Alabama recruiting?

Alabama is now #5 in 247 composite rankings with the recent commitment of DT Bobby Brown from Texas last night for the 2018 class. The 4 teams lurking above Bama have more commitments. With the class size being down this year, a top 3 signing class looks like a real possibility. Not bad for a dynasty program on the way out.

To people used to Butch Jones’ coaching, a top 5 class ends up performing like a 75th ranked class. You can see where the confusion comes in.
