If I remember right I think we have a bye week before the Miss St game. I think coming off the UGA game we will have a chance to prepare well against Miss St. They under achieved last year and I don't think they really improved a whole lot.

That being said I think we can beat Miss St. Now, we may lose to someone else but I tend to agree with what you have there.

GO VOLS!!!

Yes Missou is a wildcard but is a home game, soooo?
Assuming FL is a win and adding a MSU win, then 9 is not out the question and I would be very happy with 9! :)
Of course injuries and the kicking game could change all this drastically. :ill_h4h:

I'm with you there. I hope we stay healthy.

If we can win all of the ones we are supposed to (I'm claiming we should beat Florida) and then steal one from UGA or USC then this season could possibly be a special one.

With UGA there is no telling because something crazy always happens when we play them.
USC is gonna be tough defensively and if Lattimore is healthy they will really test our new defensive scheme.

Either way, if the ball bounces our way, for a change, we could win 10 games...that's what I am hoping for.

GO VOLS!!!

Right. And I would be teed off.

This team should win 9 games, plain and simple. If Dooley can't get 9 wins out of this group he will never win a championship and should be ushered out. So if I'm Hart, 9 is par for me. I am not speaking for what the fan base as a whole expects --it's pretty obvious that anyone under the age of 20 around here has grown accustomed to mediocrity and will likely accept it-- I am just giving my expectations. 9 is a par. Anything more is a birdie or better. To me, the teams that we do it against doesn't matter. I will enjoy wins against Bama and Florida more. But those won't make up for losing to Vandy and Kentucky (if we do.)

LOL

You know enough about it to make this kind of absolute statement?? Still LOL

Where and when did you coach and/or evaluate players on a daily basis.

BTW, I say par is 8 wins and I am certain I've been a fan for longer than you've been alive

Earlier in the year it was East Champions and after O\W game, feeling remains. Anything better than that would be a 1998 type season......

AT LEAST 8 wins. Even then I'd only be marginally satisfied.

Can't put a number on it. Too much can happen during the season. I'd be happy not being blown out in the second half by the better teams and annihilating the likes of Kentucky and Vandy. Being competitive win or lose is what is needed right now. At least one win in a game we are not favored would give me some confidence in CDD.

I agree. The schedule is much easier this year. So, 9 is the number that keeps DD off the hot seat.

There are only 5 games on the schedule that I can say that I am reasonably sure that we will win - Georgia State, Akron, Troy, Vandy and Kentucky

After that you have the tossups in- Florida, NC State, Miss State and Missouri

Then you have the real tough games with Georgia, Bama and USCe

For me it looks like 7 regular seasons wins and a bowl game win to make it 8 total

When did Hart? And yet he makes hiring-firing decisions.

We can agree to disagree about whether the team is talented enough to win 9 at minimum. but I feel like I've seen enough of this group of players to know what a crackerjack staff could get out of them. So LOL if you want, but I'll stick to my guns here.

Par is 7. My expectation is 8 regular season with a toss up bowl game. It's time to start winning a few games that aren't "gimme's" on the schedule. GBO!

I'm with you there. I just want us to be relevant again in the SEC. These seasons where we are average or less than average are not fun. I'm not used to dealing with that kind of stuff from Tennessee and I surely don't want to get used to it.

GO VOLS!!!

Here is the schedule:

NC State - W
GA State - W
Florida - W
Akron - W
@ Georgia - L
@ Miss State - L
Bama - L
@ USC - L
Troy - W
Mizzou - W
@ Vandy -W
KT - W

Looking at this scenario, 8 wins is pretty doable. Don't know much about Miss State and Mizzou??
Listed Mizzou as a win since by the time we play them they will have faced the meat of an SEC schedule.

Wow - looking forward to getting on VN during that 4 game losing streak after starting 4-0......should be fun....LOL

UT can afford to lose 3 in a row to SC.

I understand the 5 games - however I think you are overvaluing Georgia and USCe - we were not outclassed in those games near to the degree of bama, LSU and Arky so I think Bama is the only one that should be put in the real tough category

I would say 5 we should win

3 tossups where we will be favored - ncstate, MO,Mistate

3 tossups where we won't be favored - USCe,Florida,GA

1 where it'd take the miracle on ice - bama

Wow....the more I look at this schedule the more I am having trouble justifying less than 9 wins. We should beat Miss St.

I'm thinking 8 - 4 regular seasson + bowl win to end at 9 - 4. The possibility is there for 9 - 3 regular season, but so is a 7 - 5 season. Need to have lady luck with us all year, no major injuries to key players, and get the @$%&*#% kicking game fixed. If it's poor all year, could be the difference in at least 2 losses we should have won. CDD better get it done this year because there could be several major offensive player losses after this season. JH, DR, CP (if as good as advertised), and even TB if he becomes a complete QB in all facets of the game.

We should not lose to Fla. Period, they are not good. Ga is over rated as usual. Sc a solid team but there is no way in hell that they are great and a for sure loss. I'm having a hard time figuring out why so much love for GA. Truth is there best player is playing defense too and that's not real smart considering wr/db running all day. This game is very winnable for us. I say par for me is 8 but I think we can as many as 10 really. There is no team in the east we can't beat. All this of course if we stay healthy. Our schedule isn't exactly hard this year.

NC State - W 35-20
GA State - W 50-0
Florida - W 21-14
Akron - W 50-3
@ Georgia - 21-20 WIN Baby on the road
@ Miss State - 28-20 win
Bama - L 28-21 unfortunately
@ USC - Toss up. Not sure about this one yet wanna see LAT first.
Troy - W 42-3
Mizzou - W This one is closer I wanna say 24-21
@ Vandy -W woodshed time 42-14
KT - W Payback this one gets ugly fast. 49-10

This is based on staying healthy but we have a shot in every game this year.
