Come on 40, this is ridiculous. I said the meme was fake well before you responded with your so-called supporting data, all you have to do is look back a couple of pages. The Cummings Bill makes it easier to access Federal Records, not harder, and he certainly did not "seal" Obama's records. You're barking up the wrong tree bro.

That’s my point Ribs. It was easy for you to just reply with a short factual statement. Neither the prior or Cummings process addressed the sealed limit of 12 years. That’s still in place. The Cummings bill pushes the burden on the former POTUS to continue the sealing. It was such easy point to make.

Most people would assume that there are a couple of caveats that go with that. Like citizenship wouldn't be conferred to people here illegally ... that the Constitution plainly talks about rights, privileges, duties, etc of citizens. But, yes, the 14th Amendment does say that ... likely poorly written because it was addressing a far different issue than illegal aliens dumping babies on our soil. The granting of citizenship strictly by location of birth (jus soli) is very limited ... the US is one of fewer than 50 countries worldwide still practicing that particular and outdated brand of stupidity.

Exactly, and that's the concept the founders would have recognized; however, liberals believe that if they redefine a word then that revises the original document. It's why everything is relative with them ... it's just a matter of definition ... sometimes even of a single syllable words like "is".

Indeed they did. And the fourteenth Amendment was part of the post Civil War reconstruction crap forced down the throats of many states. It was first offered up for ratification in 1866. It did not just sail thru.

If progressive means you can alter original intent with one word, I'm definitely not a progressive.

The question to be included on the census is only about US citizenship, not legal residency. So no it won't.

I can only guess. I'm thinking if 2020 census actually shows how many people we have here who aren't citizens, people are going to start harassing elected officials. It would allow more accurate #s on those who are here illegally. Not that i think most illegals would represent themselves on a census, but that's my thoughts.
We really can't pin down a number right now can we, stated from most sources as between 9 and 20m here illegally. Imagine the headaches it would involve trying to explain leaving the country so unguarded we have 20m here illegally. Would change the picture a little. Might need a wall to stop the influx until those in country are sorted out... 😃

I agree, many many words have been altered in meaning. Slant something long enough and people start picking it up, it's an insidious process I've been seeing this happen over 40 years.
