I'm OK with anything being taught in church, since it's not government sanctioned. What's your justification for avoiding one in the schools, except that academia has a complete hard-on for secular activism? All right then. Are you ok with evolution being taught in church?

For the record, I don't care that Intelligent Design isn't taught in the schools. I just think there is no decent excuse for it to be left out, except the separation of church and state.
there are way too many inconsistencies in the new testament to argue that god had a hand in writing it (or at least a hand in writing the whole thing). a decent editor could have solved 90% of these problems. god i would imagine is a more than decent editor.
the fossils predate the creation of earth as described by the bible.
Not necessarily.
The Bible says, God created the Earth in 6 days, and rested on the 7th day.
The Bible also says, 1000 years is but a blink of an eye to God.
If you take the Bible as literally meaning a 24 hour day, then you have a point. A "God day" could literally be eons. The dinosaurs could have been gone long before he decided to create man.
completely agree. the definition of day according to the bible is very vague. on the other hand if you don't believe in evolution my guess is you don't think that a "day" meant a billion years in the bible.
