What is your degree in and did you graduate from UT

EDIT: I don't have many real recordings, but here's one of my English horn and piano piece. It obviously really really really slants towards Impressionism.

Good stuff Chris.

Friend of mine sells those models to insurance companies. He works for Lexis Nexis

I work in the predictive analytics field - business forecasting.

Btw, what kind of models do you primarily use?

If you don't mind me asking, what field of work did you start out in?

Sweet, we get a ton of our data from Lexis Nexis. I think they're even right up the road from us in Alpharetta.

I primarily use decision trees, gradient boosted trees, and logistic & linear regression. I tend to lean towards trees, as real world data isn't as clean as logistic/linear regression requires.

What type of company do you work at? I was a graduate TA in Time Series at UT. I haven't really done much since I started working in my current role, but I remember a bit.

Bachelors in Business Administration (MIS concentration) from Tn Tech in 2010. Currently pursuing a masters in sports management there as well.

B.S. in Wellness and Fitness, MTSU

M.A. in Anthropology, UT (virtually all of my classwork and office were in Neyland Stadium)

Ph.D., if I ever complete the dissertation, in Anthropology from Indiana University

Hang in there, bro, and complete it. It took me 10 yrs, but I did it. You can, if you think it worthwhile, and it probably will turn out to be worthwhile.

Thanks. I am approaching your timeframe now. Every bit of my dissertation to date has been completed as primary care provider for my mother who is in advanced stages of Alzheimer's, so progress, needless to say, has been slow.
