What other message boards are saying (Alabama pre game)

-LOL at anyone that thinks we’re going to get beat by this fraud that is Tennessee.
Im as critical as anyone when it comes to my Vols, but if you allow 2 teams to put up 74 Points, 40 OF WHICH WAS F****** VANDERBILT, on you in 6 Quarters of play has no business calling anyone else frauds.

Some seem desperate. Some seem overconfident. Some see us as frauds. Some think we will be able to put it all together against them.

Personally, I am happy we play this game at home and are coming off a win against Florida. I think those two aspects give our team a slight edge in this game. We really need to test Bama's secondary early as well. Keep those young guys on their toes. From watching them the last few weeks, their DBs struggle to locate the ball.

-We're gonna make UT's QB look like how Vols fans were hyping him up to be in the offseason rather than how he has looked in the last two weeks. Their offense's ability to spread you out and isolate coverage guys is not what we need with our lackluster play and general inexperience in the secondary.

-I absolutely fear that Tennessee corrects their lackluster play over the past couple of weeks and runs us out of Neyland. Hope I’m wrong.

-The offense will definitely have to win the game vs Tennesee. Milroe is going to have to stop being a bone head.

-Have yall seen Tennessee’s defensive line? LOL! We’re gonna get our **** pushed in.

-I’m not sure if some of you are drinking, Tennessee is as bad as Kentucky, we win by 3 plus scores.

-Tennessee is not better than Vanderbilt. We will be fine.

-Tennessee is a very suspect team. I mean look at their wins, they’ve been against 5 really bad teams and they’ve struggled. We should roll in this one.

-Deboer better have them ready or this season will be an absolute failure.

-We CANNOT, I REPEAT, CANNOT lose to Tennessee.

-This is the type of game where Tennessee looks like a national champion and puts the nail in our coffin.

-I’m not worried about Tennessee, they’re not a very good team.

-Tennessee has zero offense, they won’t be able to play catch up.

-I don’t think Tennessee’s defense is going to be able to contain Milroe on the perimeter. Career afternoon coming up! ROLL TIDE!

-To anyone fearing this game: What exactly has Tennessee done that gives you a thought that they even have a pulse to beat us?

-We haven’t looked anything near to what we looked like against UGA since that first half. I hope we get back to it. If we do, Tennessee fans will be praying by the end of the 1st quarter.

-Tennessee is overrated and we’re going to prove it.

-Tennessee has the worst offensive line in the country. All we have to do is get a push and we win big.

-LOL at anyone that thinks we’re going to get beat by this fraud that is Tennessee.

-Milroe rushes for 150, we win by 4 touchdowns, then we take over downtown Knoxville. My kind of night. RTR!!!

-That Nico kid isn’t even a D1 QB. We should feast.
These dorks talking about Bama blow-outs must be 20 somethings. Because the people who have watched this crap for 40 years know that bookies are more often right than wrong. This game will be close and down to the wire with perhaps a last second field goal either allowing Tennessee fans to pour out onto the field. Or a field goal allowing the corner Bama fans to breathe a sigh of relief knowing Bama escaped yet another one.

No blow outs. Should be fun.

This is just the type of game where Bama gets their 💩 in a pile and beats us by 2 1/2 touchdowns. I hope I’m wrong, but right now they have the better QB and we have a very paltry offense at the moment. Something better have changed in practice this week for us hang an L on Bama. If our defense has the game of their life at every position, then we might be able to pull out a win in a very low scoring game.

If Vandy can, we can.

Well, our offense better play like Vandy’s did, because whatever we’re doing lately won’t cut it on Saturday. Maybe it’s just my jet lag getting to me. I’m all over the place hourly thinking about how this will go. I just want the lights to come on for our offense. Now would be the perfect time.

I suggest relaxing and enjoying the anticipation. The build up during the week adds to the game Saturday. We can't control or influence the outcome with hope, hype, or angst. So expect good things. Expect 85 sugar bowl against Miami things. We have the players. We have home field. We have the defense. They do not have Saban. They aren't invincible. They have more pressure than we do. They're a team in transition. Enjoy the spectacle.
Get your cigar ready.

And bourbon? They go together, you know.

This game is the only game. That's what it means. I've watched this game in Birmingham on October 16, 1993 when Heath Schuler, Jay Barker, and the Deuce ( David Palmer ) were playing and the game ended in a 17-17 tie. I've watched this game in Tuscaloosa and Knoxville. No other game matters. There's nothing like it. Some of the best times of my life. If someone made me choose only one football game each year that I'd be allowed to watch out of the NFL games and the college games, this one would be the one. Go Vols.

Walking out of that game was the strangest thing. Nobody was happy. Nobody was saying anything. It was so quiet.

Nobody won. We both lost. And we all knew it.

Crazy

When people in Tennessee talk about The Third Saturday In October, you can damn well hear the capital letters. The only I team I enjoy beating more than the Gators. We're gonna win this one. I don't care by how much or if it's ugly or a thing of beauty, but we're gonna win.

Didn’t Alabama eventually have to vacate that win over Palmer being ineligible?

That was the Saban way. People acted like he killed everybody he coached against, but he had several close calls and near upsets along the way. They always had a turning point in the middle of the season where they got it together and started gaining momentum into the post season.

Wondering how this DeBoer team plays in adversity. They have been in a skid since that near disaster against UGA. Then the Vandy upset exposed them for playing sloppy. Finally you could argue they played worse against SCAR than Vandy because SCAR gave up one too many mistakes. You could argue they have gotten worse, not better like the Saban teams of old.

Lot of delusion too. They may win if our offense doesn’t figure something out but Milroe isn’t having a career day against our defense 💀
We do have trouble with running qb though. I sure hope we can contain him, because I believe that will be the key to win this game, if we can contain their qb
