We need 300 yds passing without Turnovers to win Saturday.
If we are not keeping them honest in the passing game, they stack the box and just bow up on our 20 rushes up the gut every game.
I don't think our gameplans are enabling Sampson to play to his strengths. We need more swing passes to the RBs to make the defense account for every yard across the field and downfield too. The quick outside screens are too predictable now.

-We're gonna make UT's QB look like how Vols fans were hyping him up to be in the offseason rather than how he has looked in the last two weeks. Their offense's ability to spread you out and isolate coverage guys is not what we need with our lackluster play and general inexperience in the secondary.

-I absolutely fear that Tennessee corrects their lackluster play over the past couple of weeks and runs us out of Neyland. Hope I’m wrong.

-The offense will definitely have to win the game vs Tennesee. Milroe is going to have to stop being a bone head.

-Have yall seen Tennessee’s defensive line? LOL! We’re gonna get our **** pushed in.

-I’m not sure if some of you are drinking, Tennessee is as bad as Kentucky, we win by 3 plus scores.

-Tennessee is not better than Vanderbilt. We will be fine.

-Tennessee is a very suspect team. I mean look at their wins, they’ve been against 5 really bad teams and they’ve struggled. We should roll in this one.

-Deboer better have them ready or this season will be an absolute failure.

-We CANNOT, I REPEAT, CANNOT lose to Tennessee.

-This is the type of game where Tennessee looks like a national champion and puts the nail in our coffin.

-I’m not worried about Tennessee, they’re not a very good team.

-Tennessee has zero offense, they won’t be able to play catch up.

-I don’t think Tennessee’s defense is going to be able to contain Milroe on the perimeter. Career afternoon coming up! ROLL TIDE!

-To anyone fearing this game: What exactly has Tennessee done that gives you a thought that they even have a pulse to beat us?

-We haven’t looked anything near to what we looked like against UGA since that first half. I hope we get back to it. If we do, Tennessee fans will be praying by the end of the 1st quarter.

-Tennessee is overrated and we’re going to prove it.

-Tennessee has the worst offensive line in the country. All we have to do is get a push and we win big.

-LOL at anyone that thinks we’re going to get beat by this fraud that is Tennessee.

-Milroe rushes for 150, we win by 4 touchdowns, then we take over downtown Knoxville. My kind of night. RTR!!!

-That Nico kid isn’t even a D1 QB. We should feast.

If Sampson can run for 125 to 175 yards against Alabama and the defense can contain Milroe, Tennessee can win this game.

The sad part of that is, when Nico was going to take the ball and run with it, the ball was fumbled on the 1st drive.
Or the OL gets called for holding not once but 3 separate occasions in the game last night alone. Not to mention the 25 yard pass last week to open the game.... nope penalty for a DA OL being down field for the second week in a row... A 15 yard UC for blocking someone into the stands. Oklahoma the OL was called for illegal man down field when Nico hit one of the TE's for a 50 yard gain...... but yeah let's point out a fumbled read play that also happened to Hooker and Milton. Sometimes that happens in this play design. Ball security I will say needs to get better though. Everyone should be looking to get better because no part of this team has arrived. It is not just Nico.

Me too but he isn’t. He said UF was gonna be an easy win. He said we would smoke Arky.

The late great Kobe Bryant once said if he were to start a game missing his first 20 shots he wouldn't hesitate to shoot the 21st shot. Why? He said cause he knew he was due.

Great players keep shooting. They don't get gun shy cause a few shots don't go in. We're gonna blow out Alabama. Best believe this one will finally hit.

Man you have not watched our defense this year bud lmao our other two main LBs Carter and Tealander are very good. Our CBs are very good. Granted the one worth is saftey, maybe they expose that some but not to a “career day”. Milroe is also trash the past two games under pressure, which we will generate.
While our secondary is tackling better, Milroe is a different animal. If he gets outside or past the first line, I'm not confident that our safeties can handle him. Along the same line, while our secondary is improved, I have a hard time seeing any of our DBs handle Williams. If our DL can't get to Milroe, it's a bad matchup for us. To be fair, those matchups are going to be unfavorable for the vast majority of college football, too. I'm concerned we just can't keep pace offensively if those two have days against us....which bama players usually do. Never say never, but while Bama doesn't have Saban, they're still a more talented roster and have some very special players with those two being the most high profile. I'd feel a heckuva lot better if Pili weren't injured. He was one guy on defense that I really didn't think we could afford to lose. Hopefully, it's not as bad as is feared.

Nico isn’t a D1 quarterback. Man my guy overthrew two wide open TDs, I pray he gets this thing figured out fast so we won’t have to keep reading stuff like this again.
Again, a lot of that is due to the OL not giving him the protection he needs. There are times where he gets protection and he looks much better. He's also much better rolling out as has been mentioned everywhere. I still remember Manning's freshman season. I think Nico will be a terrific qb in time. He may not live up to the hype everyone cast upon him, but I question if anyone could? Being the first big NIL deal, 5 star guy, etc...the expectations were enormous. Hell, most kids would be so twisted under those circumstances that they probably couldn't lace up their shoes correctly. The game will slow down for him and when it does, we'll be thrilled that he's in orange. Might not happen this year, but I did see signs of progress after rewatching the game. The talent is certainly there. He just needs some help getting through this adjustment phase. I think Heupel is doing all he can to protect him. If there's anyone that knows what Nico is going thru it's Heupel.

Nico being anywhere close to what Hooker was in 2022 was just not going to happen this year. Most of us bought into some of this because we so wanted to believe. Nico is on that learning curve, and he will get better. Also hurt by the inability of the OLine to give him any space to operate. I think we all expected better.
The triple sack was a low point for the season

Dline is going to have to hold their gaps and not sell out trying to rush, or Milroe could have a career day on the ground. His throwing is less of a concern, so keeping him in the pocket should be seen as a win.

Milroe may have a good day but he will not have a career day.

Alabama fans all over the country are going to bed every night this week hoping this is true. I have news for them, IT’S NOT.

It’s only a matter of time before he calms down and starts being himself.

Why 300? Bamas rush d is porous. Hammer the run, hit the throws when they are there, and take care of the ball. Pretty simple

I agree with all that, again that’s why I said I pray he gets it figured out so we don’t have to keep hearing he’s not D1 quarterback anymore.

There’s a world where Nico has a really good game, the crowd and defensive line get to Milroe, and we win going away.

There’s a world where our offense continues to struggle and we lose by 17+.

There’s a lot of possibilities in the middle. No idea what to expect because both these teams ostensibly have potential, but both have been extremely suspect the past two weeks.
Is there a world where our starting tackles play a great game??

There’s probably one where Heard, having played three games in a row, is in just better enough shape to make a difference and he and Campbell cut down on the penalties and both play not great but better than expected.

At Neyland, I expect a close game. This should be a Bru game. Got to figure out how to get short passes on first down and show more creativity in run game. And, just as important, JH needs Nico to run the ball a decent amount more.
He runs Nico, I fear he'll get straw man broken. That said, I think we have pride in those orange jerseys, and it will show up at this game.

Can’t argue with some of it. But it’s awfully big talk for a team that got physically pushed around by Vandy and South Carolina. This is not the Alabama of Nick Saban. Having said that, we simply have to see improvement from the offense and in particular the O line. If we don’t, it could be a long day.

Shuttle passes are killing bama this season and we did a few earlier in the year. I bet we get a few big gains with them Saturday.
