I think this game is really going to come down to quarterback play... on both sides. Both are unknowns / X factors in this game
Hoping Heupel will scheme up some good plays for Milton and they won't get too much pressure on him too soon
The only thing I'm asking for Christmas is for Joe to dial it in and throw dimes for 300.
Ho Ho Ho Go VOLS
Milton has thrown several long darts this season. I mean perfect! Vandy was not a good night for Joe. I'm really hoping the staff can find some tricks to help Joe dial his accuracy in. I know he's been a project... I'm just not ready to quit on him.We are depending on Milton’s accuracy against a good defense…not looking good. Go Vols!
then that will leave one wr wide openI was disappointed in the lack of talk about The Orange Bowl from their side. I was only able to find very little on their non pay boards. They seem more concerned with 2023 and the state of their mens hoops team. Weird.
-Just a guess but I think 49-28 Clemson. We're gonna have to score points unless defense just plays absolutely brilliant all game. I'd like to see 77-17 Clemson though but I dont think Dabo will be that mean.
-The Vols dont have a chance with their star QB sidelined.
-Tennessee won't stop us, we roll and close out 2022 the best way we can.
-I expect a high scoring affair. True, Hooker is out but Heupel is still the coach. If our D doesn't have its A game we may need to score a lot of points to win.
-Tennessee will be without their OC, this is an automatic win for us.
-We haven't lost a game since 2014 when we wear white tops with orange pants. Go get the dub Tigers.
-They only have one games worth of film to study Klubnik, I really believe we roll them.
-I speak on behalf of ourselves and Tennessee fans everywhere, no matter what happens, let's resist these idiots that are calling this the " Lost To The Gamecocks Bowl".
-Make no mistake about it, Tennessee is good. I think The Orange Bowl is an instant classic.
-I really hope for our sake that Dabo's comments don't get us blown out.
-I think Dabo is a better game planner than Heupel and it will show.
-Tennessee has a lot more to play for here, they're going to throw the kitchen sink at us.
-Our defense has to be on and bring it every single down. Otherwise this one could get ugly fast.
-I'm a little worried about their speed but I think we win by 10 points.
-If Hyatt plays we are going to need to double team him all night long.
It all depends on Milton for this one, if he plays well and executes the offense we can outscore them. If we had Hooker or D.J. was starting for them I'd feel really good about our chances.
Clemson will be looking for us to keep trying to go deep. I think we have to give Milton the underneath, middle of the field stuff (slants, crossing routes, screens) and mix in the run early. Get Milton some confidence and establish the run at the same time. Take the nickel and dime stuff to set up 2nd and short, 3rd and short and Force their safeties to play up, then see if we can’t pop one or two deep on them in the first half.
And Milton didn't look promising at allI know it was Vandy. I know. But they had just beaten kentucky and Florida in back to back weeks, and we literally took away their will to play football. The last time we were out there, defense pitched a shutout and offense scored 56 and rushed for well over 300. Clemson is NOT going to run away with this game. Neither will Tennessee. Healthy Defense will play with a chip on their shoulder, offense will do what the offense does, and I do predict a 49-45 victory for the real big orange
Feelings are never wrongFans mindset yes, as much of a goof as Dabo is I have a very good feeling it’s not his. My opinion is that he knows the game rests on Milton’s accuracy if Clemson can slow down run game. If Milton is 80 to 85% or better, with the misses not all being long balls, then it has the possibility of being a TN highlight game.
I like the way you think !!!! GBOI know it was Vandy. I know. But they had just beaten kentucky and Florida in back to back weeks, and we literally took away their will to play football.
