I have no inside info or insight, but my WAG is the coaches used a big part of last week prepping for Florida (watching film, game planning, even if it didn't directly involve the players) and despite all the "coach speak" about AP is good, the only important game is the next one, etc. that just subliminally gets in the players heads and they're not ready for a really prepared, fired up AP team. My guess is our players at some level just went through the motions last week in practice with their minds on Florida in the swamp and with the fan base and the media in the same mindset reinforcing that nonchalance. Then AP just showed up and smacked them in the mouth. Rat Poison is a terrible thing. Hopefully, that refocused the players, coaches, and staff, and it is reflected in the teams play on Saturday. It will take their best performance to come out of Gainesville with a win. They are a better team than the Gators, but not by enough margin to not execute at their best and still win. Time will tell, but my guess is we get the Vols we all expected on Saturday in the swamp! GBOI think what we seen saturday was a team that did not prepare for Austin Peay. They came in with the mindset that it was going to be an easy win. it wasnt. NOW i understand the major difference with what im about to say. BUT our offense looked like crap against PITT last year too. we came out swinging against florida. Lets hope its the same.

Just win.
A lot of our issues with Austin Peay were because of all the crap they didn't put on tape the week before. They were getting murdered last week, came out a completely different football team and was trying literally everything to get some kind of edge on us. Going for it, timeouts to slow our momentum, dirty play, trick plays then we had guys dropping passes they never drop, fumbles, lazy blocking, Joe less accurate than he's been since Pitt and it was really like 3 or 4 passes out of 33 and it was on the first drive.I have no inside info or insight, but my WAG is the coaches used a big part of last week prepping for Florida (watching film, game planning, even if it didn't directly involve the players) and despite all the "coach speak" about AP is good, the only important game is the next one, etc. that just subliminally gets in the players heads and they're not ready for a really prepared, fired up AP team. Lived there 20 years. Only pretty parts are on golf courses and the water. Driving across the state on 60 or Alligator Alley is misery. I do miss my saltwater fishing though.Let me tell you, UF is an excellent institution and I know a lot of bright people go there. But Gainesville is an absolute HELL HOLE! I saw Miami fans make fun of it on Twitter years ago, calling it the struggle bus of Florida, hog town, etc. I finally went down in 2015. It is one of the worst towns I have ever been to, exceeded only by the South Side of Chicago + Gary, Indiana and Detroit, Michigan (including Ecorse, River Rouge, Highland Park) in its s***y-ness. I remember on the drive down, there were massive potholes, busted-up side walks and boarded-up houses EVERYWHERE. I was like, “Did I stumble into a scene from Breaking Bad?” When I got out of the vehicle, it was hot and humid as f***! It felt like the air itself wanted to choke me out! It was like Mordor! I can’t believe people live there. Then the game was a kick in the nuts. Absolutely dreadful experience and I’ll never go back down there. I. HATE. GAINESVILLE. And it makes me question why people like Florida as a state, too.
If Joe Milton struggles against Florida, I hate to say but time for qb change
