What other message boards are saying (Florida Post Game)

I thought they should have sent for 2 at end of regulation. End the game there with a win. Or fail and game ends. I know the odds say play for OT, but on the road hostile crowd, go for broke!!
I thought they should have gone for the win right there but was dang glad when they didn’t. Kudos to our defense for not getting fooled by the crazy formation.

Do you think Nico improves? That's the million dollar question
Nothing is guaranteed, but this isn't your granddaddies SEC anymore. Every tram has dudes and when they come to play and execute they are hard to beat. Bama by 2 over the Gamecocks in T Town, losing to Vandy, Georgia barely beating Kentucky, Ole Miss has now lost twice. Auburn will beat someone they shouldn't before its over. We saw what Nico can be in the early powderpuff games and against Iowa. He's got the skill set. Does he have the intangibles to win consistently at this level? I think the SEC games will slow down for him as the season goes on. There are 10 teams in this league that could contend for the ACC or Big Twelve title and at least 6 for the Big 10. The announcers said it best last night during our games broadcast "this game has the feel of an NFL matchup." Many on this site have trashed both the Vols and Florida for poor play, especially the offenses, but both those defenses I saw were legit. Florida and Arkansas are good enough to beat everybody in the ACC except Miami and Clemson. They'll both be struggling to get bowl eligible in the SEC. Every SEC team we play has some dudes that will play on Sunday. The light will come on for Nico, hopefully October 19th at 9 P.M.!! GBO!

He’ll improve if he’s not a total headcase after being hit so much. Stuff will slow down for him and decisions will get better. That is if we can get the Oline fixed some what.

With Donte Thornton on the field he makes at least one of those. I was pretty disgusted last week so had tuned out, but I had guessed he was not going to play tonight and then shows up in the OT. Where was he?
Very possible that Thornton on the other end of 1 or 2 of those deep throws results in a completion. Let's hope he starts this week

I agree. I think the portal and NIL has changed college football to the point that this is the new norm. Domination by a few teams is going to be difficult with the parity now. Keep the Tums bottle by your chair because you don’t know what’s going to happen game to game. They’ve turned it into the NFL in more ways than one.

Almost all message boards were in melt down mode Saturday night. They either lost or did now win in a way the fans thought they should.

If Nico would stop turning the ball over and could hit wide open WRs this game would have been won by 2 TDs
The last three games he has not thrown any better than Joe did last year. Someone may start looking for an NIL refund.

Without Napier, we lose this game. He's been a joke the whole time he's been there. We'll see who they replace him with.

He's actually not as bad as UF fans make him out to be. Made a smart move on the 2 point conversion attempt and forced UT to burn a time out as time was winding down in the 4th.

Nico has the physical skill set only. He doesn't have the mental skill set or vision yet. He just doesn't seem to have a feel for it at this level. We'll see if he can develop it, but right now it doesn't look too promising.

He better get it this year because we will have a new offensive line next year.

Next year we'll have an army of people talking about how the o-line doesn't have any SEC starts and that we shouldn't expect them to exhibit even a basic level of competent play until they get X number of SEC starts.

That was a good call for sure, but he also blew 3 points before half, made a terrible call on 4th and 1 from the 20 yard line, decided to QB sneak instead of giving the ball to the RB that had been destroying us to that point. That's anywhere between 9-17 points they just gave away.

Everybody is saying they should have gone for 2. Do you think maybe they learned their lesson in the first half that forth and foot is defiantly NOT a given against that Tennessee defense. They had 4 red zone chances in the first half and came away with 3 points. That had to be in the backs of their minds when they made that decision. This defense is getting a reputation.

-Fire Napier tonight, he’s the sole reason we lost this game. He’s in over his head. Please LSU, beat Ole Miss.

-Leave Napier in Knoxville.

-Pathetic

-Worst coached game ever against a fraud UT team. Fire him!

-Napier just ended a 53 year streak. First time UT has beaten us after they lost since 1971.

-Once you stop caring about this team, your Saturdays are going to get better.

-35 more days and we don’t have to worry about Napier anymore.

-Napier gave up in overtime. It’s his fault. Can him now!

-Scared money don’t make money, you NEVER play for OT on the road.

-I won’t sleep because Napier didn’t roll Lagway out any!

-This Napier experiment has sucked ass.

-You CANT lose to Tennessee! Ever!

-This team is horrible!

-The players deserve a better coach!

-Tennessee made the plays when it mattered. We did not! Simple as that!
"You CAN'T lose to Tennessee ever!" Well ... maybe 2 of the last 3, but, other than THAT ...

this is the new norm...if a team isn't perfect and doesn't make them $ on their bets or win big, they will talk about how the teams "suck" or are "mediocre"....only gets worse from here

That was an incredibly stupid playcall by Napier. You literally have your qb fall forward and it’s a first down. I think in his mind, Napier saw them running outside for a touchdown and he’d look like a genius.
