A win vs UGA loses a lot of power if we lose to kentucky. I think they know what's at stake. I would be worried if we were playing them this week because of the hangover. But I believe the team will be focused once Kentucky comes to town.

Whose O-line are they bringing with them? Bama's OL couldn't block UT's front. If not for some VERY lenient officiating on holding, UT would have sacked Young several times. There's a picture floating around here showing all four pass rushers being held on the same play and Banks still getting a hit on Young while having his jersey stretched out a couple of feet from behind.

Rodriguez is a hoss. I respect him. I'd love to have him as a Vol right now. IMO, he's the best in the SEC at being his own blocker. He's been stout since coming back going over 100 in the last two games. But the best run D he's faced has been Ole Miss who is 7th in the SEC. MSU is 9th. USCe is 11th. UT is 2nd and it absolutely is not a fluke. No opponent this year has averaged more than 3.68 ypc. That was Bama with Gibbs.

Any hangover from the Bama game should be out of their system this weekend. That is a bit of a dangerous game. UTM is a very good FCS team. If the Vols are "clean" in that one then your concerns about UK are answered.

PS- UT's "hangover" following the big win over UF plus a bye week... almost the worst situation you could ask for... was to go out and manhandle LSU on the road. This staff does and excellent job of keeping the team grounded and focused. From the presser hints... the team got some pretty hard coaching after Bama. There are 49 reasons for the D to be humble.

Their business is to determine how to regroup after getting their butts beaten. They have not been able to do that for the last couple of years even when they had better talent than we did. I think the biggest challenge will be playing Ole Miss in the SECCG.
