This win actually makes me very excited. TN can win an old school football game against good defenses. They won time of possession, held OU to 36 yards rushing and our defense just flexed on them. Granted we will face better offenses, but this team is different than any of CJH’s teams. No one is blowing TN out this year. If we lose it’s going to be a close. The maturity and poise is championship caliber.

I pretty much agree with you except for the way we let them score 2 4th quarter TDs. That was dang worrisome

Hadn’t thought about it that way. But you make a good point. That time when Nico got hit from the blindside and fumbled probably really rattled Heup. That could have been disastrous

Yep. Fans are fans everywhere.

UT called a super conservative game because it made sense.

Given we are going to be playing Oklahoma about 3 out of every 5 years, Heupel is going to have to get over his affection for Oklahoma, at least when we play them. Him not wanting to show them any disrespect could have very well cost us the game.
