What Other Message Boards Are Saying: Vandy Edition

-They are pretty much taking all the credit for getting Dooley fired. I'm seeing a lot of comments like "Looks like we probably just got Muschamp fired. That's 2 SEC coaches Vandy has gotten fired in 2 years."

I would be ashamed if we were known as coach career ending loss. That would mean we have historically sucked so bad that losing to us is to embarrassing for any AD to justify retaining their coach. That is pathetic.

FWIW Dooley was done regardless of the Vandy game. It just sped up the process one week.

Five of those games happened in six days. All on the road. And they also were not scored upon as well.

And to be fair, Sewanee was an SEC founder, they just went even more towards education (and religion) than Vandy did, so it didn't make it very long.

The statement the vandy guy made was that that Sewanee team was the best in the history of the state of TN, and to be blunt, that is not a very bad argument. Vandy guys say stupid things, but that is not one of them, not if you value history and records over newness and fandom.

Come on! 1899? The game was still in its infancy back then. The forward pass wasn't even legal.

There also were no substitutions. Play ball both ways, which just further adds to the idea of best individual team because the players had to be tougher and in better shape.

But, no forward pass? You mean like how Auburn basically beat us?

They also played with up to 15 men on each side and how scoring was kept varied from field to field. It was a completely different game in that era. It still resembled something closer to Rugby and was on the brink of extinction due to how violent it was too. I just don't see it as comparable to anything resembling what is played today.

Facts and basic common sense aren't allowed here.

They're wanting to do this "Dore Walk" at Neyland stadium. Granted, it will be a huge failure anyways, but still.

It's called StarWalk at Vandy's home games. It's literally about a 60 foot walk, across one 2 lane city street, from the McGuggin Center to their middle school stadium. StarWalk.......Bahahahaha!!!!

It is a direct reflection of Franklin's arrogance. It is stupid and attention getting and shows total disrespect to our program just another reason to hate Vanderbilt.

I don't hate Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is like a 5 year old wanting attention. They knock the hat off your head every now and then and they may kick you in the shins, but at the end of the day, Vandy is still a 5 year old that needed a better raising up to that point.

Comin' in hot, I see. Strong first post, though. I like the spirit.

Vandy's cocky QB with the hyphenated last name will be on his back all game long. I thought only women hyphenated their last name after marriage. I guess gay guys do the same.
