What qb should start against UGA next weekend?

Should? I would argue for Nico. Some would make arguments about how it could affect his health or whatever, but the kid is going to lead our 2024 and likely 2025 team. Get the kid as many reps as you can.

I’d probably let Milton do UGA so we don’t get Nico beat up too much in his first start. Then I’d let Nico take Vandy and the bowl game.

Unnecessarily throwing Nico into the fire for a first career start against the two-time defending champs is an awful idea. He won't be the difference in winning or losing, so no sense in putting him in a no-win situation.

I’m sorry but the kid is getting major bank per year to be here. In this new era of NIL, these guys aren’t just some raw players without expectations. There is no downside to him finishing out this year.

Milton. No way in hell I start Nico versus Georgia.

Just dumb to put your future in jeopardy right now. After Georgia then let him get some snaps.
I see it differently. Not giving him a chance to inspire some confidence within the program and within himself is what puts the future in jeopardy.

You can’t just lock him in a shed until you’re ready to start winning and expect him to com out looking like a Heisman candidate

Apparently we need to keep Nico in bubble wrap, so he does not get injured. Not sure how to get him around campus as walking he could be hit by a car... Driving, he could get into an accident. I do wonder when Nico can actually play in a game to get the reps, when we are worried about putting him in games due to fear of him getting hurt.
That said, I would not start him vs Georgia. If/once the game gets out of hand, put him in and let him get reps to see what he's got.

How are we putting the 2024 season in jeopardy by having Nico start a game in Neyland against some of the best competition he will see in his career here? He’s gonna face them one way or the other sooner or later. If we are gonna treat him like a calf who can hardly walk.

If we are going to baby Nico, he has bigger problems ahead.

Milton should start, then after UGA is routing us put Nico in. Maybe then against Vandy they ll still start Milton but they could alternate ever 2 possessions or something. The next 2 games do not matter as far as who the Qb is. We lose to UGA and beat Vandy either way.
