I argued with folks all day on this one—solid three-seed. Metrics say we're a 3. We've earned a 3. No one from behind us has done anything to bump us. Seven quad one wins. No quad 3 or 4 losses. Three top 10 wins (only Baylor can make that same claim). Two wins over top 5 teams (both will be one seeds).

I hope we run like the 09-10 team after inconsistent performances. But we will see. But I think we are a sweet 16 at most team. But think 32 and done. Hope I am wrong.

Can’t really use that as an excuse for the losses when you beat some good teams with 1-2 key players out. The losses without ZZ make some sense but you can’t excuse the first Mizzou loss, both UK losses, Colorado, Vandy, Florida losses by not having a full roster when you still have more talent than those teams and that roster beat Texas, KU, Bama.

And nowhere do we ‘deserve’ an 8 seed. Pal. Nowhere….. seeding is t based on a month. And coincidentally….. we were without 3 of our best players for the majority or that month. Facts help with reading comprehension. Pal…..

With the right region and a solid offensive showing, this team has the potential to reach a Sweet 16 berth, but we are probably out in the field of 32.

They don’t deserve anything above a four seed IMO. However, CBB has so few elite teams they may slip in as a three.

When I think of the one seed that goes along with our luck this season, it's the 5 line. Almost has to be the 5 seed.

I chose a 5 seed based on loss of Zeigler, lack of offensive consistency and now turnover margin... just not the team that started the season. Almost time to shift focus to baseball. Go Vols!
