A 4 or 5 seed, and will lose in the first round, dont have a true point guard, this team wont go far without ZZ.

True, but we're 3-4 since that game plus we've lost ZZ. The committee does look at how you finish along with key injuries. How much will they credit our wins and how much will they ding us for the losses of games and ZZ is hard to predict. I'm usually wrong and hope I am, but I have this sinking feeling we fall to that dreaded 5 seed. Just can't shake that feeling. Guess the BVS/nega in me runs strong in me right now.

I’m delighted with the level of consistency that the UT hoops program has attained. This will be five straight NCAA appearances with the lowest seed being a # 5 while representing the university with clas and integrity. Coach Barnes, his staff, and the players deserve massive props for this level of consistency.

I was replying to the pedestrian comment, not the seeding. I think it will be a 4, but a 5 wouldn’t be outrageous.

Also missing their best player. Which could influence committee. But I think they should be in.

They’re still only 79 in the NET. I think they deserve it over Mississippi State, but it’s close. A win today and I think they’re in.

You are correct. They have CONSISTENTLY made the tournament and failed to meet expectations once they got there.

Lunardi still has Tennessee as a 3 seed playing first and second round in Greensboro and San Diego State is the 6 seed

How do you seed a team that's peaked, lost 4 of their last 7 and also lost their starting PG? Works both ways and that's my concern Sunday.

I think they end up a 5 and we know how that 5/12 matchup usually goes

The way things have gone lately, probably a 4 seed. Certainly no higher. They play great one game, bricks the next. I predict 2 and through. If they make it past the 2nd round, I would be pleasantly surprised. They definitely miss Zeigler.

I was thinking the same thing about Miss St. How could they be in while Vandy sits ?

We were a 3 entering the conference tournament. Lunardi, the other bracketologists, and the committee itself all said last year that we didn’t get a bump as tournament champ because they don’t consider the tournament in bracketing. I realize they’re completely hypocritical but by their own logic last year, we’re a three seed.
