What team could make the biggest jump between now and signing day?

Tennessee (50 in the Scout.com team rankings) is in a bit of a wait and see mode right now as well. Derek Dooley took over a terrible situation in Knoxville and the Vols are off to a slow start while recruits are getting a feel for the new regime. It would be shocking if Tennessee didn’t improve on the 50 spot where they currently reside; it would be much less shocking to see them go on a run and finish in the Top 15.

I agree with Scout. That early ranking is a bit silly considering how good of a position we are in with so many big names.

I figured UT would finish out in the top 15 as well. I would say that would be a big win for us with the big need for OL/DL. I don't really care where the class is ranked as long as all the gaps get filled in for all the areas of need which is pretty much every position except WR.

But Hat and SGM told me that Dooley sucks....

Don't they know more than people who are paid to evaluate players and coaches?

Always believe and follow the wisdom of hat and SGM, for they are never wrong.

I'd be happy with a top 15 class......though I'd prefer we end up with another top 10 class

Top 10 baby here we come.

I still think we are going to crack to the top 10

I could be wrong, but if we land a top 10 class, I think it would be the first time since recruiting services have been around that UT has been in the top 10 three years in a row.

Imo they're embarrassing themselves. Its one thing to question the hire. Its another to completely make a fool of yourself doing it. CDD is going to continue to prove them wrong.

A lot of where Tennessee finishes up in recruiting will be determined by the product on the field.

Tennessee plays an exciting style of football and looks competent on the field, kids will notice.

Until then, Dooley and crew are fighting an uphill battle.

If they land a Top 10 class it will be the biggest miracle I've personally ever seen in Tennessee football history and Dooley should get a 6 year contract extension immediately.

You really went out on a limb there, considering the last 2 years were the first time Tn has ever had back to back top 10 recruiting classes in a row.

I didn't know that.

But as some others have said I just don't think a top ten class is going to happen this year, with the amount of lineman we're going after and the lack of skill position players we will be taking.
