I expected KY to play better after the debacle against South Carolina but the Georgia performance has been surprising to say the least. I expect the Vols will get a better effort from the Dawgs. Not sure the Dawgs can go to Texas and win though.

Kentucky has given Georgia some hard fought games over the years. Not last year, but we’ve seen stuff like this before. I expect Georgia to clean it up offensively.

I do think we match up better against them than we have in a while though.

Georgia fans will say they played down to the competition. We'll soon see. The top may not be as far away as some would have you believe. This season I don't see a team that should physically dominate us. Which means that we can play with anyone. Which is wild. 🍊

Georgia's play-calling was even more conservative than usual tonight. I think Kentucky was able to run the ball a little better than they had expected (170 yards rushing) and that caught them off guard. That limited their time of possession (24 minutes) and they weren't playing with a short field tonight on offense, like they can usually count on.

Georgia has no offense. They lost alot of their production at the skill positions from previous seasons and haven't done a great job replacing them. In fact, they've developed no one. They did bring in in a few transfers, but no one has really stepped up as a reliable target in the offense. They brought in, Etienne at RB, but he has always been overrated to me. I think UGA is much more vulnerable this year.

I don't think it can be underestimated how Heupel's presence in the SEC has affected other programs ability to recruit offense. We took Mike Matthews out of Georgia's backyard. Same with Ethan Davis. The top offensive talent is choosing to come to Tennessee first. Georgia gets first choice for defensive talent, but not so much for offensive talent.

UGA has no offense 😂😂😂😂. That’s insane. They stumbled against UK. Big deal.

I mentioned in other threads that I think UGA will lose 2-3 games this year. They don't have the elite skill players on offense that they've previously had. And I am not a firm believer in Beck being this elite NFL QB prospect.

Uga has a game like this every year. Kentucky did an awesome job of making the game short and running a lot of clock.

If they have slow halves like this against Texas or Bama they could lose those games.

I wouldnt make a single assumption about them for our game though based on today. We’ll get their best, in Athens nonetheless.

Saban and Smart were hurt when paying players was extended to teams other than Alabama and Georgia. That eliminated a huge schematic advantage and I don’t think either team has the depth quality they had five years ago. Although it’s still very good.

Georgia just played their FIRST SEC road game of the year last night. Next week we play OUR first SEC road game. It will be a dog fight. I would be happy with a 1 point win. I don't think even the most misguided VOL fan would say that playing at night in Lexington is tougher than playing at night in Norman. It's time to chinch up the chin strap and get ready to battle.
