What was the first Non-Tennessee college football game that you attended? My first Non-Tennessee college football game i attended was the 1983 Peach Bowl where a 6-5 FSU team beat 8-3 North Carolina 28-3 in frigid temperatures. I went to the game with friends of my family who were big FSU fans. I remember thinking i would freeze into a block of ice watching a totally one-sided game.

Been so long ago, can't remember the opponent, but my dad was a UGA system employee. He took me to a game when I was younger. THat was my first.

They're D-II, but having lived in the area at the time (and my employer at the time having season tickets), I saw quite a few Valdosta State games back when Coach Hatcher (and afterward, Coach Dean) were there. It was obviously nowhere near the atmosphere of a Vols game, but an afternoon watching football and grilling out was never a bad time when I couldn't make it to Knoxville.

I'm not sure which one but it was definitely a Vandy game back in the 80s, and I'm pretty sure it was a non-conference game. It was back when Vandy had some fans and the stadium was mostly full but you could still get cheap tickets. I went with my friend and his dad because he had access to season tickets. I rooted for the other team.

I lived in Washington state when I was younger. I got to see a WSU game in Pullman, maybe even during the Ryan Leaf era or right before then. I distinctly remember it raining/sleeting the whole time and being freezing.

NC State in the fall of 1978. Can’t remember who they played. I remember coming away thinking the atmosphere was like a high school game compared to Neyland. A few people who cared but mostly a lot of people wandering around looking to find someone to talk to.

A loss to Miami my freshman year at Boston College (1993). Ironically, this was one of 15 consecutive losses to the canes from 1985 (post-Flutie-pass) to 2007 (Matt Ryan). It wasn't all bad that year though, since we did upset #1 Notre Dame in South Bend!

I went to see a Texas vs Texas Tech game fairly recently in Lubbock. It was the day of the Florida game-the noon game before ours at 3:30. Didn't want to go, but it was a family reunion kind of thing. It was a great game from what I remember. I left at halftime to go prepare for the only important thing of the weekend. Don't really remember much honestly about the morning or what I saw of the game. We had a family tailgate but I kind of stayed off to myself-nervous energy kind of thing Checked VN here and there. I found out (much) later Texas lost

And I'm an idiot. For some reason, I had last non TN game stuck in my head-anyway, the above is it.

My first was I guess GT vs the then #1 Virginia Cavaliers in Atlanta sometime in the fall of 1990. I was on my "college trip" that weekend. That game was basically the GT equivalent of Saturdays game in terms of atmosphere. I was sold

Funny, my first non-UT game was Auburn - Chattanooga game in 1967. It was band day at Cliff Hare Stadium and I played in the featured band, The Elmore County Band. We we were actually invited to perform on the field, much like DB did recently at UT. In those days their stadium only held 40,000.
