Always able to work on a few offensive wrinkles during a bye week. What might those be? Berry returning kicks?..Scott? More TE in passing scheme?

I don't get all the Devrin Young hate.

Sure, he doesn't really give you that threat of taking it to the house, but before he got here I cringed watching whoever else try and catch the ball. Guess people would rather a freshman get his start in our first SEC game, that is away at Georgia?

I was the same way with fielding punts, but don't recall there being the same worry with fielding a kick off?

I think he played himself off the punt receiving team by allowing so many punts to hit the ground last season. If he doesn't become a bit more dynamic on the KO returns then I wouldn't be surprised if the staff doesn't go in a different direction in search of a dynamic play.

I'm def not against it. Just don't want to see a freshman back there on the opening kickoff.

Sure as hell don't want to see Cam anywhere besides our secondary.

What do you guys think about how Scott will be used? I'd like to see him some, but I figure he'll only get a few touches.
I'd like to see a few different formations that causes the D to think a little more, especially since we're missing Smith and Pearson.
Possibly work Hurd or Wolf out of the slot down the feild some.

Also, I may cry if Sutton gets hurt returning a punt. I get that he's sure handed, but it scares the hell out of me.

I think Young just needs to be smarter about the kicks he brings out of the endzone. The kid is trying too hard to make something happen and putting us in a bad starting situation which makes field position be a problem. Fixing that and the Oline improving and this team can compete for the East.

Special Teams in General - Punting and Kick Offs were awful at OK . Georgia has got dangerous threats on Return teams gotta stop em.

I don't get it either. I know folks are looking for someone that is a threat to take one to the house. The reality is that scoring on kickoff returns isn't that common for anyone. This year in the SEC only 5 of 118 kickoffs were returned for touchdowns. Two of those five was Vandy.

I wanna see some gadget plays. Would also like to see a 3rd tackle on the right side to help Coleman Thomas on short yardage plays. Lastly, a few corner blitzes.

Let's see, UGA uses Gurley to return kick offs, other teams use their best play makers to return punts, but we're too scared to put a stud back there. And, then we complain about not getting good yards with special teams.

If we had (3) 5* CB's to back up Sutton then I wouldn't be as nervous. GA has so many good RB's making it much less of a risk for them.
