Because its Vandy? They're snobs about all things other than football. Now they can be snobs about football because they beat a UT team that threw the game. Congrats Vandy

They are tired of being our little brother. That is what their problem is.

In the early 90's,when Jim Foster was the lady basketball teams coach, they could hang with us.

In the early 90's, when Wade Houston was our head coach in basketball, they could hang with us.

From 2010 - 2012, they could hang with us because of the Dooley era.

All of that has changed. What they had during those periods is the closest that they will come to beating their big brother.

Of course, they can now beat us in baseball, but Serano is working to change all of that. I would say in 2014, that we will be able to beat Vandy in baseball.

They just need to see a shrink and tell them that their mother loves U.T. (their big brother) more than she loves them.....

To answer the original question, there have been, in my nonpsychiatric and unprofessional opinion, simultaneous outbreaks of near epidemic proportions of three conditions among the Black and Gold pseudo-faithful:

(1) Frostbite-of-the-nose syndrome (chronic and incurable)

(2) Delusions of Grandeur, correlated highly with short-lived and illusory success on the gridiron

(3) Napeolonic Complex, magnified by a condition known in laymen's terms as "strutting-peacock syndrome."

In all fairness I see more Vandy talk on UT boards than UT talk on Vandy boards.

Bc UT fans don't give a crap about you. We would rather not go on your board and talk ****. We have our own place to talk and discuss how pathetic Vandy is. The quote you quoted was referring to twitter, not message boards.

They're trying to make any momentum they got from their win last year carry on. They think by talking sh*t and publicly dismissing us, they may work themselves into our heads. That rarely has the desired effect so it matters little. When they beat a real top 20 Tennessee team ,however long it may be from now, then they can be proud. Right now it's like sucker punching a handicapped kid and running around screaming PWNED!

Vandy's a small private school, very concerned with academics. Why they're in the SEC confounds me. How they beat UT, a school that worships football, also confounds me. They might very well do it again this season. In fact, I'd bet on it if I bet. Just goes to show that 1) coaching makes a huge difference 2) a program can be too arrogant.

My problem is that I have gator99 on my ignore list and every time you guys quote him his post is shown. How annoying. I deleted him because I don't care about his opinions ...never have , never will and could care less about Vandy quotes. We are Tennessee.
