Whats your job?

I'm a construction superintendent. But to be honest, I am tired of working for a paycheck and feeling very unfulfilled during my day to day operations. I want to impact people. I want to love on people and show the the love of Christ. I don't think that is being a pastor (but God used a stuttering Moses who said he wasn't ready too so I won't say never). I have dreams of working in the mission field impacting people by building additions on church's and non profits. Smaller type organizations that can impact and love people better, if they had better assembly space and places to do their ministries. But where does that start? Seriously, does any one have any first hand information besides a Google search on how to start something like this?
I was working with an orphanage in Bolivia that needed this. They've recently gone through reorganization and can't build right now. But, in the future, who knowa.
I need someone to drive a truck on Tuesdays. Any takers?

That has to take a lot of patience!

So much! I wouldn't trade it though, when i started college I wanted to teach history. Got a job working with Jr high kids and I did some observation hours in a high school class and I hated them both. Stumbled into a job at a pre school, loved it. Changed my major to Early Childhood and didn't look back.

Good for you, it makes a difference imo when a teacher loves it.

Don't know, don't care. Effects me to the bare minimum being in social studies.

I figured you would care it's demoralizing students and making them feel like idiots, I tried helping my nephew but all the stupid write out your work for simple math is ridiculous let the kids learn to their advantage not to someone else's

What worries me is that sentence, or lack there of.

But yes, explaining how one reaches a conclusion or reaches an answer is a skill kids will never use.

Insurance Agent @ Gary Cooper Insurance.

Seriously, there's a Gary Cooper Insurance? That's so cool, if I lived there that's who I'd use. I know, not the same one, but there's still a sort of local connection, what with Patricia Neal and Sergeant York and all. Okay, maybe not quite as cool as Michael Brady the architect since the TV Michael Brady was an architect but then again Brady wasn't the Pride of the Damn Yankees at High Noon.

Old nerd say .

there's not enough xanax made for me to do this job. kudos to you

There is not enough Xanax made for me to be an EMS, work in an ER ,nursing home or with the handicapped. I am not geared to work in health care, I highly respect those that do. Thank God we have people that love to do these jobs. We all are born with different gifts to make our society work.

I could probably be an EMS but the rest, no. I'd also add hospice care.
