When Arkansas Fires Pittman

Oh I'm sorry, is the #4 rushing offense in America not doing it for you? It certainly is much worse than Tennessee's #3 ranking in total offense. Clearly this offense is being held together by duct tape.

Maybe it's the number of sacks allowed? It says here that Tennessee is tied for 57th in that category, with ... 1.50 sacks allowed per game. That's awful. Nothing at all like #1 Alabama and their ... oh, wait, it says here, 1.50 sacks per game. Gosh. How does Heupel do it with that awful offensive line play? 🫠

... people, please don't make blue font that last sentence. I shouldn't have to blue font that last sentence.

Arkansas's OL doesn't exactly scare anyone, maybe Pittman isn't what he used to be?
He was never THAT…before or after UGA. Usuals need to get over their delusion that Heupel will boot a guy who knows how to develop and coach big uglies to his boss’s scheme. Training new coaches from outside ain’t his jam.

May bad. I forgot those back up tackles are really getting it done.
They’re backups that were playing on one of the sloppiest fields they will probably play on in their career.

We’re consistently one of the best rushing teams in the country year in and out. Also usually have one of the highest total offenses in the country year in and out. Might also think about the competition we play vs some of those teams ranked stats wise above us. This wasn’t a really well thought out thread; you overreacted based on one game or you have no idea what you’re talking about.

We just had the #1 OT in the nation commit to us in the current class. Had a very good Oline class last year.

He had some pretty solid OLs at Arkansas the first time around under Beliema but his OLs the last few years have been awful. It’s almost like how Jimbo used to be known for QBs then that ended up being what did him in at A&M. Weird how some coaches known for a particular thing become head coaches and that becomes the worst part of the team.

I think he’s reacting to the fact OU had 3 sacks vs us. They produced more sacks against Auburn. A couple of things first OU defense is really good imo and secondly that field we played on was trash with our backup tackles.

My question would be of any coach on a hot seat around the country …who would u want on our coaching staff and in what roll?

Can we please hire him to replace our way underachieving O line coach? Just not recruiting and developing talent well enough.
If our ol doesn't give better protection imo we gona have to have Nico rolling out of the pocket more.

Some here still have the "backup QB is the best player on the team" syndrome. Many have stated that OL has been one of the strengths. Our running game has been solid and Nico clean for the most part. If you listen to our head coach, Nico has contributed to the protection issues by dropping back too far in the pocket. That makes it substantially harder for the tackles to push the outside rushers past him. Stop trying to create controversy where none exists. Were you in the "fire Tim Banks because our defense in terrible" camp as well?

But, but but but, we can't be good on offense, we only scored 25 points against a terribly not-compete Oklahoma team!

Please, please can we fire someone and replace them with someone who gets fired somewhere else? I wanted Martinez and Banks out, but now that's not working, so pleeeeeeease?

Heh.

Go Vols!
