When exactly does UT play Tim Tebow's Team.

having been a huge UF fan for close to 20 years I can tell you there is more offensive talent on this team than any that we've had. The only thing that keeps me from saying that this offense isn't better than all of them is that there's no rock solid RB like the 95-96 teams had with Fred Taylor.

In this offense though, a 30 carry a game guy isn't really needed. And there is talent there, it's just that no one guy has stepepd up and taken the job.

Harvin was healthy for maybe 3 complete games last year. There was a stretch from the UT game almost through the rest of the regular season where he'd tweak his ankle at least once every game. If he stays healthy all year, he's going to be no SportsCenter a lot.

C Ingram is the best receiver you've never heard of. Had a great SECCG and NCG last year after catching two passes all year. Dallas Baker said he was the best receiver on the team at the NCG celebration at the Swamp

The O-line returns virtually intact and is very deep. There's more scholarship OL guys on the roster than I've ever remembered here.

Tebow can pass - don't think he can't just because of what his role was last year. You don't throw for almost 10000 yards and 100 TDs in HS without being able to throw it around a bit.

The question marks are all on D - the LBs and DBs I think we're OK at. Spikes at MLB is special and the other guys are talented, just a little young. We may start a true freshman and a former RB at CB in Joe Haden (enrolled early) and Markus Manson, so that will be interesting. The safeties are deeper and more veteran overall.

The D-line...Well there's Harvey who's a stud and a coupld older guys who need to step up along with some young guys who have some talent. It would be nice if a few of the freshmen could come in right away and help - Dunlap and T. Davis especially.

The point of this post was really to refute the "Tebow sucks" and the UF offense will be down. The offense will be better...I think much better.

Holy mackerel, Andy. Where are all these gators coming from. Somebody check and see if there is a hole in the fence. This latest one is delusional as well. Best offense at Florida ever......

Reidel Anthony, Jacquez Green, Ricky Nattiel, Danny Wuerffel, Shane Matthews, Kerwin Bell, Errict Rhett, Emmit Smith, Neal Anderson and host of NFL offensive linemen would beg to differ with the idea that a group of players who have really contributed nothing are being anointed as the greatest thing to hit Florida since suntan oil.

I think Tebow is going to be a star, but people are kidding themselves if they believe that there's not going to be a learning curve.

Teabag has done little. Gator fans are acting like his only issue is proving he can consistantly pass. There is more to it than arm strength and high school stats.

With that said, maybe we ought to just forfeit the
FREAKIN GAME!
NOT!
BTW, nice avatar.:eek:lol:
Also please continue to be cocky, over confident, etc. My hope is the Gators feel the same way and that's when the scales begin tipping our way. Thanks for motivating the Vols with your arrogant post.Reminds me of Buster Douglas not given a chance against Tyson and what happened?

........not to mention Zookers defense is gone.

Its like you think the one player makes all the difference. True, its the QB position. But the offense -- particularly this offense -- is improved at just about every position and it is arguable that, for the scheme, Tebow is a better fit for Leak. Remember, all that Tebow will have to do 2/3 of the time is take the snap and make a hand-off to one of 5 guys that run absurdly fast.

Tebow has arm strength. As Florida mixes up its formations, there will be mismatches that even I could exploit. You are dreaming if you think Florida's offense will not average minimum 7-10 points better than last year. Might be more like 15-20.

I heard the same thing last year.

See Cal :)

Just kidding.

I think he is

That's what happened to Cal in 05. We had the worst QB in the pac-10 because longshore went down for the season in the first half of the first game. We would have easily been 10-1 with even a mediocre qb. The number of wide open receivers Ayoob overthrew in close games in the 4th quarter. . .

Cal's 05 season sucked but not as bad as UT. Joe "Boob" Ayoob is terrible.

I was referring to Longshore's performance in Neyland. It was a joke.

They were on about 4 different teams.

This Florida offense is absolutely LOADED with speed and talent, from top to bottom. The Oline is seasoned now and Meyer has had a solid off season to work with Tebow and the receivers to implement the spread option the way he has always wanted to run it at Florida.

I disagree. I simply believe that Florida has outrecruited UT in terms of talent for several years now and its starting to show up on the field in terms of speed, in particular.

Might I be wrong? Sure. But I doubt it.

And what's more, I think there are a lot of UT fans on here who agree with me that Florida simply has -- to be very blunt -- better players than does UT. UT isn't a bad football team, I'm not saying that. But I am saying the Florida's offense is just a cut above the UT defense and to me its becoming apparent that this is the case.

Just because I am enthusiastic and optimistic that this offense is going to be extremely good does not mean I'm wrong.

 I took one word and highlighted it for you, see of you can find it?

The team with better players does not always win and its only April. If I prognosticate a Gator victory now, I do it only on what I know of the teams at this point. Can UT coaches come up with a plan to try to thwart the UF offense and exploit the inexperienced parts of the defense? Of course.

But right now, in a vacuum, it just seems to me that you have to admit that Florida's offense has ridiculously tremendous speed and athleticism and that there is no reason to think they will be anything short of top notch.
