Looks like Roseboro is likely to visit during the Gruden camp. Does anyone know what other recruits are planning to be in Knoxville that weekend?

Sapp, McKenzie and Clark by the end of July, hopefully. Maybe sooner, but I think those are our next three.

Our next commitment will be the Thursday or Friday before the Legends weekend, which is the weekend of June 6. Butch has done this before, where he likes to start off a huge recruiting weekend with a big bang… I think this is when we get a monster boom from one of our DT silent commits. :)

Those three appear to be good possibilities IMHO, along with Gibson, once the Gruden camp's come and gone. With only 22-or-so open schollies, let's figure Butch's placing the focus on 4 and 5 star fellas, and they tend to sign more toward NSD and aren't afraid of being nudged out, like a lot of three star guys can be. Remember how LSU, TAMU and Auburn shot up the ladder with the '14 class? For the most part five stars tend to wait 'til the very last minute......soaking up the fun visits and taking in the admiration, etc. Many will be checking out how the season pans out for their finalists, too. Last year's UGA game, with that tremendous crowd and the electricity in Neyland's atmosphere, initiated the frenzied momentum with that recruiting group. This year? Who knows? Whoopin' the gators?

does it bother anyone else when we get a 5.6 3* commit? id rather have all 4 and 5 *s, even 5.7*s make me angry. We have already dropped to 8th on rivals, hopefully the rest of our commits will be at least 5.9 4s.

I would wager a large sum that CBJ does not take a kids * rating into his evaluation process at all. JMO

Stargazing at its best

Id say even having a top 10 class is pretty good considering the other teams in the top 10 have been successful. We been getting our asses kicked for almost 7 years. I'm cool with a top 10 class.

Really man? It angers you to see us get a 5.6 or 5.7 recruit? Please elaborate. What's the difference between a 5.7 and 5.8? An extra star? You are entitled to have your own opinion but, this I gotta hear.

We have 11 commitments. I think we take about 9 more. I could honestly see 5-6 of those 9 being kids who are currently ranked 3* by Rivals. I'd be fine with it.

When I get on Volnation and see that there is a new post in the recruiting news thread I get excited. When I open the thread and see that it is a 3*, yes I get disappointed and wonder why he was chosen. It makes me think we wasted a spot and 3*s don't help our rankings and I want to win SEC and national championships. the difference between a 3 and 4 is a huge mental difference, It makes me feel warm and happy when a 4 or higher commits and if it's a 3 I really feel let down. I also feel like we are not helping the team get better with 3*s.

So you don't think CBJ hand selecting his guys is worth more in the long run vs what Rivals or 247 labels a recruit as? You do know some of these services will give a kid a bump just because he pays to go to their events right? Yes, I get that where the class ranks is something the public eye see's. I honestly don't care what the class ranks as long as this staff starts winning. 2*'s and 3*'s go in the nfl draft all the time. Just a matter of picking the right kids for the systems.
