Eh. Seems like it's gone under the rug for now. I know USC could get punished, but I think it would be wrong for that to happen. That's another thread though...
agreed.

I was offered a job to work in San Diego, doing basically what I do now for the same pay, but I decided to turn it down, too expensive to buy a house.

Ahh, San Diego...Spanish for whales v*****.

My group of UT Alum who travel to 1 away game per year now. (Last year we went to Notre Dame). We are thinking of going to the Cal game next year. Should be an interesting place to see a game. Anyone ever seen one there?

Nope. But it's the bay area, I'm sure there is plenty to do/see. I've always wanted to go see a game at the Strawberry Canyon.

i live out hear in cal bear country and believe me , theres no talk about college football , this game will not be mentioned out hear till the day before and very briefly at that

listen to knbr-680 online and you will see what i mean

We have two major league baseball teams to occupy the sports talk shows in the Bay Area and all KNBR talks about is Barry Bonds, steroids and the Giants - boring. In another month or so, the college football talk will begin. Which leads me to the major reason that college football is not the center of attention out here . . . there is way too many other things to do for all these people. But I'm a college football fan . . . luv it more than pros.

I always hear that argument for why college football isn't big in the Northeast and West and I'm not sure it flies.

Welcome to the Nation, where it is always football season.
Since everyone has been so nice thus far, let me be the first to say,

One blue tick coon hound and one bear is no contest, besides I'm just here to give you your wish - postings from Cal fans. I have let some others know about this little board so hopefully we can have some fun waiting for the opening game.

Never underestimate a bitch in heat. :eek:lol:

Seriously, though, welcome to the board. Tell your comrades (that is what you Commies call each other, right?) (j/k) to join the party. We're all jazzed about the upcoming year and are REALLY looking for a turnaround. You'll find all types here -- which, IMO, is nice. Even though you may not agree with a lot of what is said, conversations with opposing views is always more interesting.

Stick around and, hopefully, we'll see you in September.

They're a little nervous about being favored on the road. They always play better as the underdog.

I thought they always played better when playing at home against another PAC-10 Team.

I sed to live in the Bay Area have attended a game or two and actually attended Cal Football Camp before my Sr. yr. Its a nice play to watch a game. Older stadium, bowl type. They may have done some upgrades as it has been years since I have been there.

It would be a good road game trip if you have never visited the Bay Area...especially considering the other road games you have to choose from. I would say take a couple days and do the SF tourist stuff if you can, or the wine country.
