She deserved the criticism and so did the team. They lost to Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Virginia Tech., gave away a 10 point lead with 90 seconds to go at Texas A&M, Same at Miss. St., lost at home to Florida.
So yes the team has made a surge in the NCAA Tourney and have played well. Still the bashing she got for the regular season was well deserved.

I'm not sure anyone actually hated Holly, she just didn't appear to be doing a very good job as coach. That said, I think most of us would prefer to consume large plates of crow in private, so I polished mine off and I'm ready for the game. :eek:

From the beginning, I never thought Holly was the right choice as head coach. Considering the number of McDonald's All-Americans on this team, their performance for most of the year has been dismal. They've now won 3 games in a row against very beatable teams. Good for the team. Good for Holly. I'm pulling for them. But my opinion of Holly as a head coach is unchanged.

Jury's still out on Holly. She's coached well two games in a row. If she coaches well today, then she's officially off the hot seat. IMO

Oh, please: this was a talented team that played like CRAP for most of the year. And what exactly has Warlick accomplished? What will she accomplish? She's not done anything yet.

I don't hate Holly, in fact, I don't care if she's the nicest or meanest person in the world. Her ability to take the team I root for to the level they should reach is what I care about entirely.

She had an atrocious season for the amount of talent at her disposal and the tournament has gone well for her, thus far. The draw has been fantastic and very fortunate, but that's not her fault or doing. There has yet to be a team that is more talented than the Lady Vols and there won't be until the final, which is WIDE open right now for us.

This is the easiest run to a championship game that I've ever seen, certainly for the Lady Vols, and I'd be more than happy to take advantage of it. As for Holly, I'm continually underwhelmed, but underwhelming coaches have won beyond what their ability is (Kevin Ollie, I'm looking at you.), so why not us? I'll gladly take a few dozen of these threads for title #9.

I support the Lady Vols and have been very critical of Holly and some players. There has been a big change in this team. Most of the 13 losses were unacceptable. I am suprised we are playing for the final 4. At the end of the day we should be there anyway. GLV!!

I have always thought that Holly does not know how to coach..... from the standpoint of fundamentals, tactics, strategy, motivation, game coaching, or mostly anything else.

But am not saying a word now, only because the team is winning.... why be the skunk at the garden party.... but since the topic came up, no problem expressing my views...

Now, I hope they win today

I just watched the first half... You want Holly Haters... Let her coach the second like she "didn't" the first half...

DD was 1 for 100.... I told you she would have to be talked to again after that double -entry with no plan. Jollette must have gotten fussed at for listening to me.

I'll write UT a check for $10,000 if Holly is Kiffined in the parking lot if they lose this game. And I'm pretty sure I can find several others who'll do the same.

I'm still here. A lot of those losses were totally inexcusable, and don't say it's lack of talent, this NCAA run says otherwise. There are 7 all Americans on our roster. This is the same as Cuonzo, one tournament run does NOT justify keeping anyone or make you a good coach. Cuonzo totally underwhelmed and had lots of awful regular season losses in 3 years. Yes we had a good tournament run, we also had 3 NBA players (McRae, Stokes, Richardson) and Jeronne Maymon and Antonio Barton who were battle tested seniors, along with Hubbs and Armani Moore. The fact is Cuonzo wasn't a good coach but inherited a ton of talent, same with Holly.

Still needs to go. A couple of nice games were completely undone by that absolutely embarrassing 4th quarter.

She needs to go if the Lady Vols even want to think about winning a national championship.

Still here and will be until she's history. Polly coached today and Carter dribbled, dribbled, & dribbled today that usually = LOSS:eek:lol: Got to laugh to keep from crying!
