Where are the Holly haters now??

This is no better than an E8 team with her at the helm. This was setup for a run to the NC game and again Holly gets destroyed in E8 and severely out coached. No way she gets fired, but CHW has a ceiling and this is it. No final four in 8 years is just unimaginable for this program.

I just find it comical that the Holly haters haven't got a lot to say right now! A few weeks ago you could count on negative post after post...now...crickets! Hilarious....Spoiled fans!

All I can say is that it was a poor performance today and Syracuse deserved to win. They hustled. The LVs just let them drive to the basket for layups. Where was the defense? The only good thing coming out of this loss is that we don't have to worry about getting shellacked by Geno and posting our worst loss in LV history. If Holly can get the team next season to play like they did the last 7 games, excluding today, then fine. Fortunately that's not my decision because I would pull the plug on the coaching.
Proof is in the pudding--next season will tell the tale.

Yes, clearly Syracuse played harder and better than we did today.....even the announcers said it.....

and what is Mercedes doing defending out at 3 pt line, if Syracuse is going to maneuver past her so easily?

Anyway congratulations to Coach Q, if that is what they call him.... good win for the Cuse.

Still here and will be until she's history. Polly coached today and Carter dribbled, dribbled, & dribbled today that usually = LOSS:eek:lol: Got to laugh to keep from crying!

Yep I was thinking the same thing throughout the game...dribble, dribble, dribble turnover. You're behind 8-12 points and you're going to dribble the clock down possession after possession? No responses adjustment to the press either. No defense in the first half on Butler who just picked her spot for the 3-ball. Do you not think maybe we should keep a defender on her????

I don't "hate" Holly. I just don't think she is an elite level Div I Coach. She won't get fired because they made it to the elite 8.

Mr Hart please hire an outstanding Offensive Coach and see to it that he or she has complete control over Offense. Otherwise this team languishes below the elite level.

How many Lady Vol fans will be pleased with that?

I know one AAU coach who has been NCAA certified who is ready to go right now. And would do a better job....Dam this year!.

A yellow brick road all the way to the final four and we travel on a dirt road.

So many things pitifully done in this game I would eat up half a thread .... DD was not talked to about her performance last game and yes, the ""DD that needed coaching was there and no coach in sight".

These girls are warriors, not princesses... Jump down their f'ing throat "when they need it" and pat them on the back when they need that....But DON"T ignore them and hope things get better... DD needed a stiff talking to before the game... Didn't happen... She opens the game "0" for 6 or 8... Didn't get talked to.... Played the entire game with a frown on her face and NOT ONE COACH cared enough to get her out of that funk... Pathetic coaching.

Two girls in body-casts for a jammed finger.
Ridiculous.

Not one instance of a coach "working the refs" (except for Syracuse's coach) and look how we got no calls.

Holly,,,, You're fired!

Wait.....You meant that 'Cuse would be top 10, right?

No. The media loves to blow the Lady Vol smoke. They have been over rated for the last couple years. The only thing last year they managed to win a lot of close games that they lost this year.

OP should have probably waited to see how the season ended before starting this thread.

All these questions revolve around what your expectations are. A month ago, Lady Vols in the E8 might have seemed like a spectacularly nice dream. Start of season LVs bowing out in the E8, not an acceptable idea. Still there are about 340 programs in the nation that would say that an E8 exit is not a disaster, so all is not lost.

Plusses and Minuses cam be tallied up from various points, but the big question is how will this year's final run affect recruiting for 2017 and beyond? If Holly can pull in a decent bunch for 2017 to point to a working plan for the future with a lot of adjustments to the coaching system, than okay. If not, well, an AD's got to do his job for the flagship program.

They were wisely not saying anything to keep from jinxing the run. Had you not screwed it up, then you might have had an argument by posting this as they were flying home with a title.

Way to go, moron.

OP - in response to your thread title --- here I am

I was done with Holly on Wednesday Dec 02, 2015 when she decided to quit in the middle of a game. Imo, she should have been fired that night. Her actions were a disgrace to the players and the university.

Warlick: “I am not going to coach effort — I’m not going to do it, I’m not going to stand on the sidelines and watch us not have any emotion. So I sat down. Good, bad — I’m not coaching it. So as I feel sometimes they take a couple of games off, I took the second half off.”
