I know it's nowhere near as high profile a job but where are all the concerned citizens bashing Kennedy for being a moron incapable of tying shoes. Or how unqualified she is, much less qualified than Palin ever dreamed of being.

why would i continue to bash somebody like Palin who is no longer relevant?

i don't think she's qualified for the job either, but being a Kennedy, she's probably pretty intelligent. that's more than you can say for Palin.

When she was recently asked about some current events and her stances on policy she sounded anything but intelligent. She did the exact same thing people raked Palin over the coals for, she sounded every bit as unintelligent as Palin.

Why would she be intelligent just because she is related to a certain family? That makes no sense. I'm sure she was accepted at the best universities because of her own merit and not because of that family name though. I mean after all Bush was an ivy league graduate, he must be really smart right?

She's not qualified to be senator. That said, she won't be next in line to be President if the President dies either.

She cant possibly be worse then Barney Frank, another Mass. Congressman.

Her father was President and was assasinated in office, it's not like she has no background in politics.

The burbs of Boston have elected some interesting folks, no doubt...but New York gets to appoint someone...can you imagine what would happen in Mass in similar circumstances...I'm thinking Ted Kennedy's dog....

She was a small child when dad was murdered. It does not matter anyway. Many a revolution have been fought because peoples names, not merit, gave them certain titles and priveledges.

Our own nation was founded on the idea that one does not have to be descended from an elite family to go places.

It is very disturbing if anyone thinks this woman is the least bit deserving to be placed in the US Senate with absolutely no resume with other qualified candidates out there. That is France pre revolution.

This woman could not carry Sarah Palins shoes.

How does that give her a background in politics?

If my father was an astronomer does that give me a background in planetary science?

If your family business was politics, I would think you would be knowledgable on it. Her father was President, her Uncle attoney general, another Uncle Senator, etc.

It's a moot point anyways, if she runs she will be elected, Mass. loves Kennedys and lots of Senators have been elected with no experience. Tennessee had a senator a while back who was a surgeon, who's first political office was Senator.

In Delaware, Biden's Chief of Staff, Ted Kaufman, was appointed as a placeholder until the 2010 elections when it is believed his son, Beau, will seek the seat.

In Illinois, a democrat governor under federal indictment stands accused of selling Obama's vacant seat to the highest bidder.

In New York, an unelected governor is set to appoint a senator who's only political experience is being a member of Obama's VP search team (which gave us Joe Biden).
