I am sure LG is working on this right now.
Many thoughts, at least one of which might surprise you.
First, to be honest, I have been so freakin busy that I haven't seen a whole lot of the coverage about Kennedy. I have noticed a little banner about it pretty much 90 % of the time I've flipped through Fox News, but that is not surprising.
From what I gather, many contend she would not be a good choice for U.S. Senator because she has no significant epxerience operating a governmental agency or a business.
While I am not quite sure what experience a U.S. Senator should have, and I've no clue as to who is alternatively in the running for the appointment, it does seem to me that this criticism of Kennedy is perfectly valid and legitimate. If she has no such experience, I would question what she can do in that post. I, myself, would not appoint her if that is indeed true.
On another, but related subject, I do see some dissimilarity in that Kennedy's failure to prove her mettle has apparently been very much a closed process. Palin, IMO, crashed and burned in the most public of ways. Whether you consider that accurate, I would say its not that easy to compare the two situations simply because of the two very different ways in which the issues have come to light.
Assuming what I've heard about Kennedy to be true, she is not IMO qualified to be a Senator, or anything else for that matter. Given what I saw of Palin, I am convinced she is not qualified to hold any federal office and certainly not Pres or Vice Pres.
