Where are the rest of Romney's Tax returns ?

Exactly that is why I bashed it. Typically when people quote things from an article without anything added, it reflects their views. Apologize if that's not the case here.

No problem.
I just saw the article thought it was relevant in this tread.

I'm sick of hearing this stuff from the Libs. I'm not a huge fan of Romney but he has released everything that is required of him by the law. Why hasn't Obama released his college transcripts? I'm not a birther, but why did it take him nearly 3 years into his first term to release a certificate of live birth? Romney has released what he is required to by law. Drop it.

Youll be better off once you start questioning the white man.

On the Morning Joe show this morning, Joe Scarborough and Michael Steele think Romney needs to address this and get behind him.

I respect Joe's opinion. He seems to be " in the know"

They were saying he does have a problem with this. The SEC filings signed by Romney are legal documents which contradicts what Romney and his campaign have been claiming. That is if they actually exist.

They seem to think he needs to sit down and do an interview and address this, if not it won't go away.

Mika and all the libs on the show were talking a lot of bs as usual.

How about Obama have a sit down interview and explain to the American people how all of his Executive Orders are good for the country? How his health care law will not hurt businesses in this country? How his record spending has not made America weaker at home and abroad? How taxing the rich will help the economy instead of making a more business-friendly environment and putting more tax payers back into the system?

All these attacks on Romney are garbage. Is Romney a flip-flopper? Yes. Am I a fan of his? Not particualrly, but I do believe he has the experience and the intelligence to at least make things a little bit better.

What? There is no issue. It's quite simple actually:

Mitt Romney left Bain Capital in February 1999 to run the Olympics and has had absolutely no involvement with the management or investment activities of the firm or with any of its portfolio companies since the day of his departure. Due to the sudden nature of Mr. Romney's departure, he remained the sole stockholder for a time while formal ownership was being documented and transferred to the group of partners who took over management of the firm in 1999. Accordingly, Mr. Romney was reported in various capacities on SEC filings during this period.

The Obama Campaign is looking bad on this. They aren't even doing their homework.

No is the word from four sources who communicated with CNN on Thursday -- all of whom have firsthand knowledge of Bain's operations at the time in question. Three of the four are Democrats, and two of the four are active Obama supporters in Campaign 2012.

All four told me Romney is telling the truth.

The attacks on Romney are a push by Team Obama to try to discredit Romney. This is going to be a nasty campaign from both sides.

Joe Scarborough and Michael Steele are not libs.
They are two strong Republicans.
They think this may have teeth. If he did sign those SEC papers, its going to be hard to get away from this.

With that said. I am not a fan of Obama or Romney.
I this they both are bad for this country.
I will not be voting for either one

Obama has shown he cannot lead.
Romney has been on every side of almost every issue.

These two may me proud of GW.
He at least stuck to his principles.
Agree with him or not, you knew where he stood.

Obama nor Romney knows what principles are.

They just need something to talk about.

Apparently that doesn't make you a good president.

the weight of evidence suggests that Romney did in fact end active management of Bain in 1999. He stated that in a federal disclosure form he signed, under threat of criminal penalties. He said he was a “former employee” in a state disclosure form. A state commission concluded 10 years ago that he did, indeed, leave Bain in 1999. Investors in Bain funds were told he was not part of the management team.

He did sign SEC papers, and there is still nothing to this.

This is a perfect example of why the Dems want and need to keep the people ignorant to win elections.

Just because he was still the President/CEO of Bain Cap on paper does not mean he had anything to do with the day to day of the company. However as the CEO he is required to sign the fillings.

Again let me say, my post was concerning what:
1. Joe Scarborough- former GOP Congressman

2. Michael Steele - Former head of the GOP

Both of these men seemed concerned about this issue.
They think Romney can put this behind him but if he does not address it it the story is not going away.

it's interesting that these allegations resurfaced after it became apparent that tim geithner knew about the Libor scandal while he was at the NY Fed.

I personally don't think that the Bain SEC filing versus whether he actually worked there has much legs. Seems a little nit picky to me.

The tax return issue, however, is working because it just reinforces the notion that Romney is a rich secretive guy. I expect the issue to fade here in a bit but then re-emerge later.

Key word. Now they are on TV (a liberal station, BTW) trying to draw viewers.

It's not an issue for anyone with a brain.

How is that?

Do you expect him to release every tax return he's ever filed?

If this is your standard, why do you not expect the same from Obama?

Nit-picky? You don't see it as at least a little shady that Team Obama suggested he committed a felony?

The tax return is not an issue!! My gosh Libs need to stop clinging to this. HE HAS RELEASED WHAT HE IS REQUIRED TO RELEASE.

If they are going to go at this issue, then Repubs need to start asking for Obama's school records. Any correspondence he ever had with Bill Ayers, etc.

Play his audio book would be great.

Seems like straight talk from Romney about Bain .
He should have left the last sentence out.

"""Mitt Romney, speaking to the Salt Lake*Tribune*about Bain Capital and his political career in February of 1999, just after he decided to take the job turning around the 2002 Summer Olympics:

I'm not a powder puff…. By that I mean that it's not that I would never consider laying off workers or closing down a plant to save a company.
Unfortunately in the business world I know, the world of troubled companies, many businesses can get better with medicine. But many others require painful, wrenching surgery.

I have been involved with companies that concluded they had to close a plant in order to survive.

And that's an awful, awful thing to have happen. And it's death for a politician to be associated with that.""""
