Where did the season go wrong?

I think it all started in the 4th quarter of the UAB game. I thought we were going to lose that game.

Well said. This years team started out with so much potential.
Somewhere along the way they lost sight of their potential as players and winners. There has to be onfield leadership. The coaches can only do so much from the sidelines during the game. Someone on field has to step up and take control, both on offense and defense. That is why captains are named. They can't be afraid to get in the other players faces when plays go wrong. We do not have that kind of leadership this year. Al Wilson never hesitated to get in someones face if they needed it. Even Casey Clausen would get on the Oline if he thought he was'nt getting enough time in the pocket. Everyone can't be a follower, someone has to be leader.

Leadership starts at the top. You can have leadership at the player level, but that is not as effective as leadership on the sidelines. This is the reason we are so inconsistent from game to game. We need good old fashion tail chewing on the sidelines; not hand clapping.
