Where do we end up this week?

Wasn't UGA ranked 1 all year until they weren't? They haven't lost a game yet.
That’s what you call Big 10 bias. Penn State is ranked in the top 10 every single year but we already know they are going to be a 2 loss team at minimum before the season even starts. Whenever Iowa is the best the other division can offer up on an annual basis then idk how you can say that conference deserves any benefit of the doubt.

Of course they want Alabama to leapfrog a team they lost to this season and have the same record. Sounds familiar 🤔
Very! I noticed that right off the rip! It makes me angry now just thinking about last year! And Texas won convincingly with their backup QB yesterday.

So if we had just beaten UConn by 2 points we wouldn’t drop in the rankings?

I don’t want to tell you to stop playing with your football action figures, but none of this matters. We’ll be 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2 in the next two games. That will determine what minuscule chance we have of playing in the SEC championship game. I assume the same crew who is currently contemplating our national championship will be pretend firing coaches in two weeks. We’re exceeding expectations, playing well, and headed in the right direction. Enjoy it. Take a nap. Enjoy it again. If for some reason we win one or two of the next two games, enjoy it more. For now, polls don’t concern us.

I only care about the CFP rankings because if we finish inside the top 12 we will be an option for a New Year’s 6 Bowl. So the rankings do matter for that purpose. I realize it will all sort itself out by winning. I don’t expect us to be playing in the SECG but there is still hope.

This! The poll matters in terms of getting the best bowl possible. It is not just about the 4 teams in the CFP. This also determines where we may end up going bowling at.

Captain obvious here, but Mizzou is the key. Snag that one and 9 wins is there for the taking and we'd be borderline for the New Year's 6 with a hungry and travel strong fan base to offer a selection committee. That's a big deal to those folks and a big ace up our sleeves. The season comes down to Saturday night.

Oklahoma State is ranked 22nd in the CFP Rankings. That is the only ranking system that matters. We are ranked 17th and the 9th, 12th, 14th, and 15th ranked teams all lost ahead of us. We will be ranked 14th. They aren’t going to vault Oklahoma State 7 or 8 spots. They would only go as high as 18th imo. Ole Miss, Penn State, and Louisville will all slide up a spot. The top 15 should look something like this (top 5 can be hotly debated at the moment):

1 Ohio State
2 Georgia
3 Michigan
4 Florida State
5 Washington
6 Oregon
7 Texas
8 Alabama
9 Ole Miss
10 Penn State
11 Louisville
12 Oklahoma
13 Oregon State
14 Tennessee
15 Missouri
Don't go postal if Missouri and Vols are flipped, Vols at 15. In the end doesn't matter, we get to prove if we're the better team. Early line has Tigers as a 1.5 point favorite.

It wouldn’t bother me if we were flipped. We play each other this week so it will sort itself out.
