I am wondering from some of the guys who I think know a good bit about what Orgeron's board looks like (Sabanocchio, Freak, LWS, JMVA g8tereric etc) how many CBs and WR's are going to be taken in this group?

I am assuming we have 1 slot left at WR. At this point DeMarco Cobbs has to be considered the leading candidate to fill it, but we have not given up on Dunkley (even if we should) or Stills, and Meline is still scheduled to visit. Do we have more than 1 slot here? I think the one is all that we are going to give. Ambles, Milton and Mr. Stud.

I said this previously and while it is true, I think that having Stills on campus and knowing that he may be pressured to commit, Cobbs may find that door closed next Monday.

WR:
Markeith Ambles and Matt Milton are two 4 stars with upside. They could each end up being better than Prater. Demarco Cobbs may complete this group, but Meline may be interested still as well. We only take 4 stars at this point at this position IMO and no changes will be made. Kenny Stills and Ted Meline are also very real possibilities. Interestingly Trovon Reid, Shakim Phillips and Joshua Reese are all technically still possible at this point. I do not expect any of them, but I do expect TN to develop a great reputation amongst this class of WR after we play Nu'Keese and Teague a ton.

That should serve to pressure the WR that we just have the 1 spot left and we are not holding it open for him. Prater switching is then the only thing I could see that would chance our position.

For CB I think if we took Riggs we would be done unless we could get Shaw. Shaw is going to be at the Ohio State USC game in Columbus Saturday and then the next week he will be in Gainesville at the Swamp.
If Shaw and Riggs both want to be Vols do we take 2 corners? Also this would mean that we can all stop caring about Joyner going to FSU. We still are not done in terms of studs available. John Fulton just needs to know that South Carolina does not have and will not have the athletes to score points to make his defensive prowess matter and he could come to UT. Rivals says he reminds them of Jason Allen. Well come on to UT son where you can work with Jason some in the summertime.

For safety I think Wright and Riley would both be given offers if they wanted to come, but I really think we only need 1 of them with the depth we have with Jackson and Myles.

Do you guys realize what an absurd thing it is that Kiffin and co are such good recruiters that we are still in the running for so many of the top guys in the country? We are very blessed to have this staff!

For CB, we've been telling recruits that we're either taking one big name, or two lesser known guys.

At safety, I think we'll just take Riley if he wants to come here, but I don't see us taking one otherwise unless it's a big name.

Thank you guys for the info.

Seems like with 11 spots left we get
1 WR
1 CB
1 S
Leaving us with 8 spots unless we took a TE that will have to be something like
3 OL, 3 DT and 2 LB.

I'd like to see us go after Morgan Moses again, he is at prep school and rivals has him only interested in Virginia. Not sure why though, they just lost to William and Mary by 12

Probably because he signed with UVA out of HS.

Hopefully that loss will help him rethink his choice

Absolutely, He was my fav prospect last year even though his stock fell a little toward the end. Al Grohs days are numbered, we can get this kid if we try hard enough.

If Al Groh gets fired (odds are pretty good right now that it will happen), then I think Moses goes elsewhere, unless the new coach keeps Latrell Scott on staff. If Scott is still at UVA after this season, I think Moses goes back there. JMO

I can understand why a OT would want to go to Virginia though if he is only interested in the NFL. They had the first tackle taken in the draft twice but if a staff was cleaned that would certainly change opinions.

The staff isn't too big on Moses. He isn't quick enough to be a part of what they are wanting to do...

Vader, alot of things could be said about Jose Jose, but quick is not a part of his description. Is he the Brian Williams of football? Will keep losing weight and gain speed?

Jose already has some amazing feet and speed for his size. When he loses that, he's going to be a beast.

yes it is. If he enrolls in January and is down to around 300 by next fall, he could very well be our starting center for 2010...

please lets just sign like 5 lineman.

James Stone
Damien Robinson
T.J leifheit

Those seem like the top ones to commit at this point. but as the season goes along and were kicking ace on the field they will realize that we have a unique oppurtunity to play early in the SEC and many other top lineman will give us a look. Peeps like

Brent Benedict
Jawaun James
Chaz Green

I guarantee more O line targets will come out of the wood work between now and NSD
