not where should we…where will we

Will USC stay ahead of us?
Will another team jump us?
Will we move up?

Where we will land today

K State and Utah have 3 losses - they will not go above 2 loss teams other than maybe the ones they beat.

Clemson won a game they should win over the 23 ranked team that had 4 losses. North Carolina will more than likely fall out of the top 25.

I see this as possible:

1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. OSU
4. TCU
5. Bama
6. TN
7. Penn State
8. Clemson
9. Utah
10. Kansas State
11. USC

There is just no place to really move Utah and Kansas State with 8, 9, and 10 interchangeable. I think to save themselves some explaining and controversy they leave TCU in.

If the value Bama like they do based on all the conversation - they do not drop a team that beat them.

Now they could go really crazy due to the losses and attempt to move Kansas State and Utah above the teams they beat. They would then move all the 2 loss teams up that either did not lose or won and place the 3 loss teams behind them then place TCU and USC.

1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. OSU
4. Bama
5. TN
6. PSU
7. Clemson
8. Utah
9. Kansas State
10. TCU
11. USC

ESPN talking heads have always been Pro Big 10. Herbstreit, Howard, Corso, Galloway.

They are framing the conversation as just being between Bama and OSU, effectively shutting the Vols out.

My prediction

Georgia
Michigan
OSU
TCU
Clemson
Bama
K State
Utah
UT
USC

Conference Championships add points

I expect you are right. I have sails for sometime that if they could, the powers that be would have Mich. and Oh. ST. in the playoff. All it took was the lose by USC. Now TCU - - not so sure. If anyone is backing in, it's them. But who would you replace them with? A fair Clem or a less fair Bama, personally I think Utah or our Vols.

Only reason to leave PSU above those conference champions would be to make OSU look better.

We should be 4th but won’t be so then we should be 6th at least right? I expect us to get screwed today even worse than we think

The OSU 22 point loss AT HOME is a really bad loss. But unfortunately, they are the only other 1 loss team. If we had beaten SC, it would be a no brainer conversation right now.

If they drop TN to 8, 9 or 10, the argument for Bama takes a hit. If they jump KS above TN, the argument for TCU gets better.

If TN is out because of the bad loss, then they should be considering all bad losses - i.e. OSU and Clemson. UGA literally destroyed LSU as did TN. Bama lost to LSU. So if you rank SEC teams in order it should be UGA, TN, LSU, Bama, SC.

Nothing much will change. We've been saying this for a while. Top 4 are pretty much a given. Bama 5 and goes to sugar. UT 6 and goes to orange although I won't mind if they give clemson a big ol' bump and drop us a few slots for being idle and having Milton as our qb. Maybe it will give this team something to get pissed about.

And the only thing that might change would be us to the sugar. Personally, I want no part of KSU. Let bama go get their tails whipped.

I think whoever we play will be like the Purdue game. A decent QB will throw for 400 yards against UT's poor Dbs. We must score every drive, and I don't think that's realistic with Milton

My issue with TCUis who have they played?

That is issue number one.

Issue two is how did they do against who they did play?

They have been challenged by a lacking schedule all year.

Michigan and Ohio State have a little bit better case on who they have played, but still extremely weak schedules.

However, both Michigan and Ohio State won much more convincingly than TCU against the less than stellar competition.

Tennessee does not belong due to Hookers injury and the South Carolina loss.

I get the argument that we should be in over Bama, but with Hookers injury we are not the same team that beat them.

I hate to say it, but I do think that it should be Georgia, Michigan, Alabama and Ohio State in that order.

But, I think it will be TCU instead of Bama and I totally disagree with that.

I watched some of TCU’s game yesterday and neither team would have finished 3rd in either the East or West of the SEC this year.
