Where does your user name come from?

Comic book figure. He is DC’s version of the hulk basically. I picked the name during college when I was still on a team and lifted a lot. Compared to most, we were superhuman at least strength wise. Always clean, no junk. I wouldn’t use anything other than protein powder and never could get to the 1400 mark for squat, bench, and power clean. Still pretty strong though to get within 50lbs of it. The throwers and especially the shot putters on my team all loved comic characters so it made sense at the time to pick a hulking one.

I was originally Chatt-TownVOL, started on VN back when I lived in Chattanooga where I was born and raised. Moved to Knox in 2011 but stayed Chatt-town for years. Eventually realized since I am never leaving Knox, and ESPECIALLY not to move back to Chatt, I finally changed it.

Firestorm is the name of my 1 of my favorite Comic Book Super Heroes that has a unique costume, colors same as the Calgary Flames, and unique powers including Nuclear Pyrokinesis.
Fire themed super heroes are not unique which is why Firestorm stands out.
It comes from being a great (DC) Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond) fan.

Was OrangeCrush on another Vol board that went dark. Always loved that name for our suffocating defenses back in the day, and who doesn't love old school sodas. When I made the move over to Volnation, OrangeCrush was already taken, so I decided to go with BigOrangeCrush, or, BOC.

Mine is med school and year I graduated. I think they changed name to UTHSC now, not sure when or why.

I joined VN right before the 2006 season started. We were coming off the 5-7 2005 season, which I never wanted to happen again.

It didn't age well. Have thought about changing it, but never got around to coming up with another one.

When I signed up for my first Vol board over 25 years ago I tried Large Orange as a user name but it was taken so I dropped the ge from the end of each word and replaced it with a j. Then I shortened it to 1 word to get larjoranj. Pronounced Large Orange. I kept the name when I moved to Volquest and then to Volnation.

I was San Diego Vol, when I lived in San Diego. Moved, so shortened it to SDV

I took my grandmother to numerous Flames games back in the day. She was a big fan. The entire team knew her on a first name basis. Every home game and charity event, she was there.

Anything you've done for kids as a result of your experience on your trip to St. Jude's is honorable and legit. Not to throw shade on any other choice in life, but kids are God's work.
