I guess that is something we are all going to have to wait to find out. I believe if he goes then the coach we get will depend on whether or not they want to deal with sanctions or not.

The NCAA suspended Dez Bryant in football for a year for lying to them. If they do that to a player don't you think they will make an example out of Pearl. I doubt he is our coach next year.

I agree with this. The worst thing they could do to Bryant was suspend him. Based on the comments of the NCAA Head Honcho, a coach should be held to "at least" the same standards.

I think a post season ban, reduction of schollys, recruiting are all likely and if they want to hold CBP to "at least" the same standard, he'll get suspended(because that's the most they can do). If they suspend him for a year, he'll likely get fired.

What I worry about is holding the coaches and administrators to a HIGHER standard and rolling basketball,football and baseball into the mix. The NCAA could say there was a lack of institutional control, and the least of our worries will be who coaches basketball.

We are in the same situation as KY, Duke, Kansas, UCLA and others. When the current coach leaves, there is absolutely no chance of bringing in another coach who can win.

I'm not that old. But I have now seen five coaches come through Knoxville. We're 1 for 5. It's Pearl.
