He's on a phone man. Hell, I misspelled perpetuate. Might have just done it again.

That's all he has since clearly he is incapable of having an intelligent conversation.

Ok so, IF it is discovered that his birth certificate is not real and he is therefore ineligible to be president, what happens?

This has already been discussed ad nauseam.

Pretty sure anyone that is halfway intelligent already knows this.

Not so sure and you're perpetuating the arguement.

Your not even having intelligent conversation, you're just accusing and then ignoring the people trying to have a discussion with you. Pitiful.

This is what you call an intelligent conversation? Still trying to discuss hypotheticals about something that doesn't exist? At least try something entertaining like dragons.

He might be more likely to have an intelligent conversation if he wasn't being put on the defensive from the start.

Back a tiger in a corner and it will come out all claws.

Hm. Why am I on a folky example kick today?

1. Where?

2. Not really.

3. I just want an answer to the simple question I asked. If you were trying to ride in here and look like the voice of reason, you failed. Now, I didn't see it anywhere so point me in the right direction kind sir, and I'll be off.

I'm not good with jokes. I like explanations though. Clearly I missed both.

Let me explain it for you, son. Hypotheticals can only exist when the "hypothetical" can be "actual". In this case, Obama was undoubtedly born in America, so your "hypotheticals" are exactly not, just that; hypothetical.

1. On this board.

2. Yeah, really.

3. Try the search function. Reasonable enough?

I believe that he was. Trust me "son", I've made it perfectly clear to everyone except apparently you that I believe that Obama was born as an American Citizen, in this country. All I wanted to know it what would happen if he wasn't and was ineligible to be POTUS. What would the ramifications be? Seriously, that was the whole point of my first post.

It's relavant when you are lauded as a genius in a heard of idiots.

2. WTH is a heard of idiots?

It's 100% relavant when his education is used as a reason he is qualified to be president.

I just haven't seen genius level arguments from obama. You'd think it would have shown up by now. Speaking well isn't enough. Particularly when you can't do the same without having it written down beforehand

Are you sure you would recognize a genius level argument?

He misspelled "relevant" as "relavant" multiple times in this thread while having the word "irrelevant" in his avie the whole frickin' time. I misspelled some words like "thyme" as time and "thred" as thread to highlight this point about the guy calling ME an idiot. Pretty simple, as I am a simple, simple man, supposedly.

Einstein was a genius. Arguably not great in school.

Newton, Darwin, Edison... transcripts necessary?

Granted, the above all proved their worth through action.

On the other side of the coin: manipulation, oration and deception are hallmarks of some rather historically brilliant people as well.

The most recent biography of Einstein I read argued that he was actually quite good in school, and that it was basically urban legend that he had difficulty in math in school (pre-college)....

Not necessarily in response to your post but, my 2 cents,

Obama should have filed for a release of his long form birth certificate forever ago. It was a political move...why bother when it just alienates those making the issue of it. Trump had a loud enough voice and a big enough stage to force his hand because it was beginning to detract from the current budget efforts.

The call for his transcripts is stupid. Paul Begala called Obama...I'm pretty sure..."one of the smartest guys on the planet" tonight...it was close to that, seriously. That is absolute idiocy. The guy appreciates headiness/academics, he surrounds himself with them, he takes their advice seriously and can parrot it, to the point that his policies, at times, conflict with each other. It is just stupid to call him a genius;nt what have we seen to suggest that? Admission to Harvard? Trust me, that's no invitation to join Mensa (no offense to the two on this board that might take offense to that). But, with that said, it's stupid to call for his transcripts. It's not an actual qualification issue, and Obama has the right to not release it. It is different than the birth certificate, which is clearly a qualification issue.

We don't have any precedent set, so anyone's guess.

Could be as severe as the entire Presidency ruled un-Constitutional, all laws overturned, all pardons overturned, all directives and actions overturned.

Or it could be as simple as removal from office.

If he knew personally that he was not eligible, he could face prison time, or maybe even charges of treason.

We don't know. There hasn't been any precedent that I am aware of.

Was that the insanely large dark cover book that came out a few years ago?

Could be urban legend, did it state his grades in Literature? =)

You are aware you need to be born in american territory to be president? Not discounting any level of stupid for you.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

You could have been born in Cuba or Russia. As long as your parents are citizens of the US, you are a US citizen, regardless of where you were born.

I will also add that the ... "well, a lot of smart people don't make good grades" argument that is thrown out there is a little scary... I would consider it much worse to have a lazy smart person as my president than a motivated person of average intelligence.

Yeah, that's probably it. I seem to remember it being a deeper red cover on the cover.

I think the persistent rumor is that he failed math or something like that...which his teacher wrote multiple letters saying was ridiculous (to the folks who were putting that out there)...that he was an amazingly bright and successful student in his class.
