Where is Nico likely to land?

UCLA football is far far down the list for company support. Lakers, Dodgers, Clippers, Rams, USC, etc all are far ahead of UCLA. Their financial problems are very real.

True but with the hype around him (even if it is bad), someone might just want to invest in it. UCLA isn't a scrub brand either (although they are more known in LA for Basketball than Football. USC, as you point out, is the big football brand).

Keep in mind that the schools themself are NOT making these payments. It is basically NIL affiliates and boosters. There are tons of companies in LA that could fork over money. Now whether they will do it for a UCLA QB is to be seen.
Agree, but rumor is that one reason Chip Kelly left UCLA was lack of NIL type support.

I have a question about NIL. Its came out that he was not fulfilling his responsibilities. Not showing up for meetings & greets, ghosting on autograph signings, etc. whoever is paying him, Can they not recoup some of their money?

I mean, if you paid a landscaper to build you a new flower bed & they never showed, are you gonna let them keep the money you’ve already paid?

After last season, his marketability fell several points.
Too Many mistakes that high paid QBs do not make.
QBs can make mistakes and remain marketable but that is because the Defense caused it.
Nico against SEC competition had numerous self inflicted wounds and was not willing to adjust.
Leader in name only not by performance. He was an average joe.

Wisconsin seems like a real possibility. I just read that Luke Fickell is already on the hotseat after last seasons's 5-7. The articles I have been reading give a sense of real desperation in that program to win right now.

Reading a lot today, Coaches are supporting Tennessee's stance which is bad for NICO.
As stated, somebody is going to pick him up and he will take a pay cut.

My guess is West Coast where he can try to rebuild his name and overhaul his reputation.
High end teams and saying they don't want this type of BS

The one thing that may come out of this for the better is major adjustments to NIL, the Transfer Portal, Conference Rules, and the NCAA's involvement. The NCAA's involvement would just prolong the BS.

I can't see Andrew Luck, GM at Stanford, taking Nico. He might but I admired Luck for quitting, not taking the money, rather than continue to abuse his body and not be able to perform to his ability.
Agreed, I can't see someone like Ron Rivera at Cal going for it either based on his NFL coaching. If the iamaleavas want west coast they better learn to enjoy Mountain West imo.

When you mentioned Rivera, Lombardi and Belichick at UNC came to mind and have a shaky QB situation I think and Bill has the morals of terrorist.

I'm doubtful but Bill would probably get along with the family.

I doubt tOSU was impressed with what they saw when they played us. Besides, the Buckeyes aren't desperate for a QB. They can take their pick of all the best QBs out there without having to fork over $4mil.

Deon Sanders stated he is not interested players who want NIL money. He wants players who are driven by the potential of an NFL career.

Belichick might not like prima donnas, but he's in a very unusual situation. Coaching college for the first time, I'm sure that gives him extra incentive to succeed. He has no loyalty to the players at UNC, yet, since he didn't recruit them and hasn't known them very long. And they don't have a star QB. He might jump at the chance to take Nico.

But I suspect Nico's gotta be homesick. He wants to get back to Cali. I don't see him blossoming in Indiana or Lubbock, Texas. And NC is even further from home, though truth be told, he'd probably enjoy the UNC campus much more than he did UT. I think he'll wind up at UCLA.
