The offense went to USFI know we don't have Hooker or Hyatt, but what is so different about our offense this year? I think after a year with Milton, a lot of us expected the 2022 look to be back. I'm not seeing it (outside of the UTC and Kent State games).
We have Nico a 5* QB, we have a good WR group, is the offensive line off that much compared to 2022 that we don't have enough time to get open and for Nico to throw deep or the middle of the field more often? Did Hooker just have more confidence being older and having played in more games? Did Heupel and Golesh just trust Hooker more? What are your thoughts?
Too many excuses. A so called offense genius can get creative and scheme against weaknesses. Where are the quick slants, check downs, whatever that are low risk quick solutions. Up the middle and sideline passes don’t make any sense at all. Just baffling and CJH needs to fix the horrible play calling. Not much different from Pruitts offense at this point.OL issues. Really good qb/receiver play can mask this problem, but Nico is just not at that level yet. Hopefully we see him improve throughout the season, and I expect him to. But we have got to figure out a way to be effective on offense. We won’t beat very many good teams with how it’s running right now.
Tebow won the Heisman as a sophomore. Manziel won his first year starting. Cam Newton won the Heisman and national championship his first year as a starter. Nico may not be a celestial entity but when we were told he would be on the level of those other QBs, you can understand why people are disappointed.OL, OL, OL, OL. And Nico is a YOUNG, inexperienced human being, and not a celestial entity. You'll see the reality of this again this season. Just enjoy our guys going out and giving their best shot. Either that or buy a Teddy Bear to hug during game.

Who told you? Fans have overhyped the guy to an unfair level. The NIL numbers that get talked about have taken it to another level of absurdity. Nobody can promise you that a HS kid is going to be a college superstar.Tebow won the Heisman as a sophomore. Manziel won his first year starting. Yep, ol issues again. And Nico is a step slower than what CJH needs to execute.OL, OL, OL, OL. And Nico is a YOUNG, inexperienced human being, and not a celestial entity. Then don’t give him $2 million per year to come here and be the QB. He enrolled early. He should look much better than he does.Who told you? Fans have overhyped the guy to an unfair level. The defenses are different, cover 4 most of the time. The offensive tackles can't give Nico enough time for downfield plays to open up. Unfortunately, that’s not the way this works. No “satisfaction guaranteed or your money back.”Then don’t give him $2 million per year to come here and be the QB. He enrolled early. He should look much better than he does.
Which means absolutely nothing towards actual performance.Nico has been top 5 Heisman favorite since preseason
