Where is this "expert recruiter"?

OMG I cannot believe it isn't Christmas already, so much for this Jesus guy, why can't he have brought Christmas to us sooner? So much for being an expert messiah

:lolabove:

Midfielder, you should change your name to something like gloom & doom....or....it's all over. Heck, why would we even field a team next year? We should just quit. Our basketball team lost too....downward spiral for them, bad times a comin'!!!

Cheer up dude. We'll be back. We're UT for God's sake.

Fulmer had ten years to lower the program. You're blowing the whistle after two weeks. Patience is not one of your strong suits.

Kiffin never was an "expert recruiter". This perception was built based on a couple of comments made by former coaches, and then propagated by all the "Kiffinites" who are in denial about the "bag of goods" they were just sold.

This was one of the many "advantages" relative to hiring Kiffin that have absolutely no foundation.

I think the perception might have had something to do with all the superstars he brought to Southern Cal. That's just me, though.

This post has no foundation.

Why would you let those facts sway your opinion of the man's recruiting ability?

Geez, give the coach a break. You don't think Urban and Strong worked the whole new coach, new defense, you only have 2 years of eligibility, they didn't make a bowl game, we're playing for a championship and it won't be the last angles with Herbert. He committed in July way before the season tanked. While I'm sure the solid defensive play kept him interested someone else came along with a better sell at this point. If he was being offered four years with Monte perhaps he wouldn't be headed to Gainesville.

We've lost a grand total of ONE committment since Kiffin was named coach.

Petty and Boyd were not losses since we told them to look elsewhere.

Stop using logic and facts. He has his empty suit theory. It is like the magic bullet theory. I want him to more fully explain himself for the entertainment of the board.

Ok 5150 explain to us what it means to be an empty suit?

And then I want, if you could grace us, to explain how things like statistics and published facts are mere conspiracy theory? I knew it was but need you to educated us all.

Good thing Kiffin left. Since he left (and prior to him) they've only been getting 2 star athletes.

Kiffin = USC recruiting success

Take your blinders off gents.

When Kiffin started at USC, they weren't signing top 5 classes.

You totally missed the fact they couldn't recruit anyone prior to Lane being there. It's a lot easier to recruit heavyweights when you win championships and play in a BCS bowl game every year. Was it all him, probably not but he played a major role and set the stage for everyone who followed to pick and choose whoever they want.

You realize that Kiffin was at USC before they won championships. I honestly think you didn't know that.

You know, when you're that much in love with someone, all logic and responsible thinking just flies right out the window.

I know most of you adore this man, but this is getting a little bit ridiculous.

Uh, maybe it had something to do with the 2 National Championships they won------prior to LK taking over as OC.

Go get em 5150---now I want to give you a heads up. The fools on this board or going to say well they won those national championships with the big time guys Kiffin recruited and coached up. Not to mention he was the passing game coordinator. Stay strong though, I think they are beginning to listen.

:good!:

Definitely sidestepping the comment about not knowing when Kiffin took over. You had no idea, did you?
