not really. It's pretty reasonable... Everyone does lie. Don't pretend like you're any better than bruce pearl. His job just requires him to be a saint, which I'm fine with. And I think he should be fired. Hell, I bet he thinks he should be fired. That's the risk he took to improve his team. We don't understand the pressure put on these coaches. He made a decision that turned out to be the wrong one and now he'll deal with it just like everyone else has to. I don't know why people try to pretend like he's scum. He's just human.

Again, I can't get over how many people on this board just seem to act like lying is universal and inevitable, and that it's no big deal because everybody does it. We sure have a lot of outstanding human beings posting on this board.

Lying is NOT universal and inevitable. I'm certainly no saint, but I literally cannot remember the last time I lied to somebody, about anything. And I can categorically state that I have never once lied about anything in my professional life.

Lying is for little kids who don't know any better and people who suck at life.

that means universal and inevitable.on the other hand being held accountable for the lie does NOT happen in every instance. no matter if your 3-30-60 you should be punished accordingly.

Everyone will crap in his pants at some point too. That doesn't mean it's acceptable or ordinary behavior for a functioning adult human being.

The people who excuse Pearl's behavior because "everybody lies" frequently sound like it's something that they think everybody does all the time. It's appalling.
