For me, it said 89% for Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. I'm kind of embarrassed by that, since I really don't like Romney all that much.

At least you're honest. 90% of the posters in here just take the test and answer each question with the stance they know identifies their "favorite" candidate.

If you're not taking the test honestly and for yourself, it loses all meaning. Obviously this test alone shouldn't determine who you vote for. Who your parents vote for and what party you have been conditioned to follow are equally as important.

:p lol j/k

But it can be a good indicator that you aren't as politically aligned with your candidate as you thought you were.

Retook the test, except actually giving the full answers with qualifiers, rather than just yes/no for every question. Similar results:

It seems that a lot of the Republicans and Democrats alike in this thread have Johnson at or near the top of their list. Seems like he or Ron Paul really would be great alternatives. It's just too bad the way politics work neither of them stand a snowball's chance in hell.

It really is just about who you know. Sad.

That's crazy. It shows Johnson in a landslide, but that's based on people actually voting according to how they feel about issues, rather than how they feel about parties.

too bad most people only vote for the letter in parenthesis

Clark Howard is a Gary Johnson supporter. I knew I liked him (even though I never listen to him). For those in Atlanta, he also supports T-SPLOST.

I know a lot of people do. But then there are folks like me. I know it says I'm 90+ for Romney but Paul and Johnson (who i'm 100 with socially) were right there with him and actually I would vote for them in a heartbeat.

The problem is this: a vote for them is a total waist because no one has the courage to break away (including me). The two parties have a monopoly and I really feel compelled to take the best option between the two. Especially this year as to me Obama is a complete disaster and while not perfect, I really think Romney will do a much better job.

golfer thinks a person should not vote on their beliefs but instead pick between the candidates you are told are good for you

The best thing for the country is for Obama to lose - votes should be cast accordingly

lol we should take the top 3 candidates and have a single elimination voting day tournament!

Lowest of the 3 candidates is eliminated and then you have a 1 on 1 vote off! Then you wouldn't be afraid to vote for a 3rd party candidate :)

So you're saying it's more of a referendum on Obama?

The Obama campaign is right, and the Romney campaign is wrong. It's shouldn't be a referendum election, because a referendum election is exactly what got Obama elected in the first place. There is always somebody worse out there.

This election should be a choice: one that should lead a grip of people to the conclusion that both candidates blow and to vote third party.
