This is sad.
So you're saying it's more of a referendum on Obama?
The Obama campaign is right, and the Romney campaign is wrong. It's shouldn't be a referendum election, because a referendum election is exactly what got Obama elected in the first place. There is always somebody worse out there.
This election should be a choice: one that should lead a grip of people to the conclusion that both candidates blow and to vote third party.
See this angst every couple if election cycles. People saying they aren't going to vote for the Republican because he's too mainstream. Gonna vote for third party true believer, damn it !!
Then slowly, methodically, and completely predictably talk themselves out of it. Oh, you'll talk a mean game, pound your chest, proclaim that you, and only those disgruntled like you, are smart enough to see what's going on in the world.
But two things are invariably going to happen. One, you will vote R. You were always going to, anyway. Two, if the Dem wins you will whine about the lousy choice the R's put out there and how, next time, you are going to stick to principles.

None. I'm an Independent and I consider all politicians to be liars. Like a used cars sales person they will tell you anything to get your vote and money. So I ignore their speeches and wade through news articles to figure out which one is lying the least and vote for that one.
