If I'm putting myself in the kids' place, and I think I'm that good, I'm not positive I wanna follow daddy's trail. I might want to make my own.
Oh, I am too! There's a pride factor that's been missing and I think Jones is working really hard to get it rooted again. Nothing would make me happier!Or, I grew up a fan, my dad is a Vol legend who has already made a trip up to meet the new coach, talk to the defense, and sing the praises of the new staff and how they're restoring the program, some of my buddies have already committed and are pushing hard for me to join them, the coaches have told me how bad they want me to come in and be a leader of the team.... And I THINK I'M THAT GOOD to be able to follow in my old man's very sizeable steps and carry on the tradition.
Your point is well taken and I can understand a young man having that thought process. I'm hoping he goes the other way.
Well, it seems as if all bill bates is remembered for is being ran over by Herschel. Which is embarrassing and inexcusable.
If bates tackles like his dad did, it might not be a bad thing if he goes somewhere else.
