If bates tackles like his dad did, it might not be a bad thing if he goes somewhere else.

There you go again. I read the post first, said "huh" to myself cause it made no sense....and I looked to see who scribed it and there you were.....

If I'm putting myself in the kids' place, and I think I'm that good, I'm not positive I wanna follow daddy's trail. I might want to make my own.

You truly are as dumb as your posts in general. I will say, however that your English has improved enough that I can actually make it through your entire post! Keep pushing on bro.

Well, it seems as if all bill bates is remembered for is being ran over by Herschel. Which is embarrassing and inexcusable.

I've been lurking this place for awhile, and the one constant I've found during this time is that all your posts are completely terrible.

Or, I grew up a fan, my dad is a Vol legend who has already made a trip up to meet the new coach, talk to the defense, and sing the praises of the new staff and how they're restoring the program, some of my buddies have already committed and are pushing hard for me to join them, the coaches have told me how bad they want me to come in and be a leader of the team.... And I THINK I'M THAT GOOD to be able to follow in my old man's very sizeable steps and carry on the tradition.

Your point is well taken and I can understand a young man having that thought process. I'm hoping he goes the other way.

Oh, I am too! There's a pride factor that's been missing and I think Jones is working really hard to get it rooted again. Nothing would make me happier!

Dude seriously do you live under a rock or something? Ask any Cowboys fan what they remember about Bill Bates. Just go ahead and trash a big time prospect's dad who played at UT. Post less.

IMO HW is the best running back to ever play college football. He is in the top 10 all time in rushing, and is the only one out of the 10 who just played 3 years. I've heard a lot of players say trying to tackle him was like running straight into a tree.

Only by insufferable trolls who refuse to see what a great collegiate player and pro he was. Google, if you're able, what his Coach with the Cowboys, Tom freakin Landry had to say about Bates.

By the way, Bates and Walker were teammates in Dallas. There's a legendary story about how Bates got his revenge by putting Herschel on his arse in practice one day.

But, being a fan of some other team, probably one of vandys 4 or 5 fans, you wouldn't have taken the time to know this.

i think only one of the berry twins will commit to UT...and i base this on complete speculation

They have already said they are going to the same school. That will never be an issue wherever they go. Would be beyond shocked if both Berry's and Bates arent Vols. Everything points to it happening.
