Whisky, bourbon or scotch and what's your favorite?

Hey, as a doctor... is whiskey/bourbon good for you medically? is it good for a cold/flu/C-19? I only ask because I've stayed well stocked of these items along with Vitamin C/D/zinc and have dodged C-19 and the common flu the past few years.

Is Jack Daniels the cure for C-19?
I don't know of any conclusive evidence that they have medicinal properties, other than some studies linking moderate wine consumption to decreased CV disease (and even these could include some confounding variables). Obviously, alcohol is a sedative and depressant, so it could provide short-term symptom relief, but potentially withdrawal effects/hangover/sleep disturbance long-term.

I'll always throw a like to a Highland Park fan!

I've always wanted to try Bunnahabhain but somehow never have gotten to it.

The Bunna is an interesting bottle. It's a little more peaty than HP but won't blow your socks off like an Ardbeg or Laphroaig. I'll pick up another bottle if I don't need more HP and the Bunna is available.

Ever had Blood Oath? It’s a bourbon that’s finished in Caribbean rum barrels, but it’s off the market now. I have a friend who let me try a shot, and it was the best sipping alcohol I’ve ever had.

Saw this on a best Bourbon to try under $50.00. It's actually only $35.00 and was quite good. Not as good as the $60 Old Elk Wheated, but a good sip that I'm sure will stand up to some pricey drinks. I went by the store to pick the RR10, but he was out and I ended up with this.

Also saw a bottle of Old Ezra 7 on the shelf for $108. I had some Old Exra some 35 years ago at a party and didn't really know anything about whiskey except that I hated JD at the time. And didn't really drink whiskey at all. But, I never forgot those two shots, or that name. If todays OE7 is the same OE from back then, Old Elk Wheated would be one of the few I've tried that is as smooth as that OE was.

The Carribbean Rum finish is Pact 5 or their 2019 release. The Pact 8 from this year I think is around $135, so if you are only talking about the juice then there are much better options at that price or below. That being said, it is different every year, somewhat hard to find, and a very approachable 98 proof. So a good buy just to have something rare/limited.
