I don't see how this helps the BO administration. Looks like an amateurish move from an inexperienced group.

This admin. has never had to endure critisizm. We are seeing them buckle under the pressure of actually having to lead, they can't just blame Bush any more.
They will try to destroy any one who opposes them.

I actually agree with some of what they say. Even when I am not watching their opinion programming, I always feel the news that is reported has more of a slant than what I would consider their primary competition, CNN. That may be because I tend to lean to the left, so I just don't see it. But, I try to be objective about these things, and FoxNews typically rubs me the wrong way.

I will say that there is at least a difference between the opinion programming and the news programming, which should have been acknowledged once the administration opened their mouth about this (which they shouldn't have done in the first place). Maybe it is just because the opinion programming is such a bigger part of FoxNews? Perhaps I say that because I turn Lou Dobbs off at the first chance I have, so I don't see a lot of CNN's opinion programming....

even lawgator has to be getting concerned by this. It's one thing to criticize a news organization, it's quite another to actively work to shut that organization out.

what will the reaction be when it's a republican administration and it singles out CNN or MSNBC as persona non grata? For all the evils LG and others tried to lay on Bush and company, they never singled out a news organization, even when Keith Olbermann launched into spittle flinging tirades calling Bush a "fascist" and a "liar".

I think the WH characterizations of the network as in the hip pocket of the GOP and influenced way too much in its "news" coverage by its conservative politics, is overall undeniably correct. I also think its a mistake to give them any ammunition like this.

Obama is completely capable of handling the mental midgets they might throw at him. I think that if he went on Glenn Beck's show, people would quickly see just how out there Beck is.

what possible reason could you have to believe that obama could win a one on one debate with beck?

liberals actually believe that the news reporting is completely biased which is a bit ridiculous. i'd bet good money that the majority of the writers and anchors on fox lean leftin their personal life.

Beck is a two bit hack. If he didn't cry on cue and make outlandish statements about idiotic conspiracies, he'd be selling washing machines at Sears.

Not completely, just heavily.

And I am sure that, as with a lot of politically active conservatives, the Fox reporters and writers say on the one hand that they are God-fearing Christians who believe in the sanctity of marriage and hard work, as they do lines with their male prostitute lovers.

how many conservative reporters and anchors do you think exist in new york city? not enough to fill fox news certainly.

This stuff is absolutely ridiculous and somewhat alarming.

Most of the news on Fox's website at any given time are straight AP stories. The content they object to on the TV channel is clearly editorial opinion type shows. The arrogance of this White House to think it is acceptable to silence and stifle legitimate debate in a country that has shed blood for a couple of centuries to protect said liberty is appalling.

Where was all of this liberal concern with "accurate news reporting" when Dan Rather tried to undermine a Presidential election with false papers that several folks on the blogosphere were able to identify as false within minutes of them being made available? Hypocrisy abounds.

You have absolutely no evidence to support this. Since he's been running for President, Obama has proven time and time again that his answer to opposition is to shut them out. Remember him kicking reporters off of his campaign for *gasp* disagreeing with him?

Obama is a joke and this move proves it even more. Imagine if Bush had shut out MSNBC.

Glenn Beck does not portray his show as a NEWS show. If you listen to him, he points out clearly that his is an OPINION show. I know it's hard for some to tell the difference, since most of their talking points come straight from moveon.org and HuffPo. Glenn Beck has as much right to "make outlandish" statements as Chris "I feel that ol' tingle up my leg" Matthews does. I didn't hear any crying about one sided reporting back then...

Beck has made a direct phone line available for ANY White House representative to call in and point out his errors in open debate. Yet the Obama approach is the ol' Chicago mob way, ignore direct debate and undermine the enemy with hearsay and propaganda. Could it be that Glenn is on to something?

Obama clearly has a problem with anyone who disagrees with him. He seems to have a thin skin. I thought he was goin to be a little bit tougher than he is.

The political news programming - the Brett Baier show weekdays and the sunday one with Chris Wallace strike me as no more biased than their counter parts on other networks. The difference to me is that they stand out since their bias is right and the others left.

The Becks, O'Reillys, Hannitys are clearly opinion programing and way right.

BO's administration has lumped all together and boycotting the news side. I think it's a mistake.

he's not used to having anyone disagree with him, save for maybe Michelle. Why else would he have surrounded himself with Chicago politics veterans?

Obama is like Chris Tucker's character, Ruby Rod, from the movie "The 5th Element". Charismatic but not particularly bright, petty and in constant need of emotional support by a willing band of sycophants.

There is 1 network on tv that is not so completely blindly following this communist and you all can't handle it. You and your god have at least 5 other channels who idolize this idiot.
This admin. will try to demonize and silence anyone who disagrees with their socialist policies.
