White Matter Disease on the Brain

1) A doctor will always warn against fasting. They don't want to be held accountable and there is no reason to see them if it heals you for free. They are salesman just as many other people are. Actually the bible warns against the pharmaceutical climb and dependence when the end is near. That doesn't mean all doctors are bad. They do and say what they are taught.

2) if you have taken a lot of medication then you need to go through detoxing. They sell a lot of detox kits at health stores. You should also fast for a day first. Then 3, 5, and 7. Once you've reached 7 days your body should rest and then you can fast for much more.

Outside of that.... It's all depending on what you are addicted too. Pills, medication, food, sugar, beer, tobacco..... Everyone wants to be told it's not good because then they don't need to feel compelled to do it. Never once in the bible does it say not to fast.

This is one of the most troubling posts I've ever read. You insulted my profession and misrepresented Christianity after recommending a treatment that could prove fatal (and has, if you check your research).

You should be careful offering medical advice if you have no understanding of science and physiology. Were someone to suffer a negative outcome, it could potentially come back to bite you.

I've ran into crazy people. I've ran into crazy "Christians". The peanut gallery will always be around to call something that is suggested by Jesus and others stupid. No worries because I have tested and prayed about this side of my life and found it to be clean so my faith in what I recommend and say is strong. The Christians that don't believe in healing faith will call it as "past bible healings but not for this day". Even when Jesus recommends it and the final versus of the bible says not to add or subtract from the word.

Healing, Prayer, Fasting, Faith...etc all was suggested by Christ "for everyone of us". The biggest part is taking a step of faith.

We have created a world around us that is full of "insurance". We have to have insurance for everything from sickness, travel, comfort, home...etc. There are others in the world that have to hold on to Jesus everyday to survive. They walk in more faith and understand the word so much more. "Don't talk about fasting because someone could get hurt". "What if they do it wrong and try to sue you?" Where is the boldness of a Christian anymore? Oh yeah... we mock boldness now. Most people these days want to say... I am a Christian and I don't believe that way! Why? Many "Christians" go to a church that is more like a concert and then a 30 minute message without opening a bible. They are scripted before the day begins. Is the Holy Spirit allowed in a church anymore?

Do I care that I insulted your Christianity? Absolutely NOT! Jesus was mocked and eventually hung because of what he spoke. People fail to see that there are more Pharisees in church instead of Christ followers. Its not my job to decide who is or isn't on what side of the fence. That always works itself out. I just stand up for what I believe and I stand up for Gods word that is clearly written in the Bible. God has given me Zeal and Boldness over the years. I will not let that fire burn out because of fear of hurting others feelings or being mocked.

Very few read the bible anymore. They google what they want the word to say. Not much different then what the Devil did when talking with Jesus. He used the scripture to try to take his advantage.

Jesus said "Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear." "if the world hates you know that it hated me first". This doesn't mean that if you go off into left field that you are supported by Jesus. We are given an unction from the Holy Spirit to know what is right and wrong. Never is he the quick option but he is the option you must pray to hear.

If you want to know the root of a lot of problems then here is a breakdown. People are sick because of Deut: 28 (the whole chapter explains the positives and negatives). When we take a simple remedy to suppress something in our lives that tells us we are out of obedience then it affects something else in our lives. If we drop back to what Jesus wants then he will heal us/fi x the problem. Healing is easy for him... getting your attention to teach you what he wants isn't easy for you/us. Deut: 28 works just like gravity. You can try to defy it but it will always pull you back down to earth. Once a plane runs out of gravity it will find that gravity is still alive and well. So does the fact of obedience and disobedience.

Example: We are not following him and have pushed his voice of reasoning away. Sickness, poverty, pain, family... comes upon us. We use a crutch to find a quick, easy, cheap solution. Never did we have to ask God for help and he was pushed aside. That is why medicine always has side effects. Israel circled the wilderness because they failed to listen. Once they figured out how to Pray, eating, fast, and all around walk with God correctly he was able to move them into their Promised Land. I have spent enough years in the wilderness and I know how great it is to walk into the promised land/blessings.

God wants more for us then what we think. God wants you to be healed not just OK. If you fear God and no one else then you will find that he always will fix your problem. He says the only fear we should have is of him. As long as his hand is on us then we are always blessed. He says that he always wants us to be in good health and prosper. Everything I have recommended still stands.

A great friend once told me: "People fail to believe it but God can unscramble scrambled eggs. When it happens you realize that the words of the Bible are alive.

I have seen the supernatural movement in my life and others. That builds great faith as long as I don't let the Devil still it from me.

I know tl;dr

For those interested it is a good read. I only know this info because of the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I never want to hide my gift. I want to share it so its not wasted as Jesus commanded.

I never want to hide my gift, either. Unfortunately, the police told me that public displays of nudity are not allowed. Several times.

Ok, a water based fast does nothing to rid the body of fat based toxins. So that takes care of the cleanse issue right there. Also, you would be in hyponatremia which is a very dangerous electrolyte imbalance that can not be treated quickly. To drag religion into this theory is the equivalence of Jim Jones and his cool aid

I feel obligated to warn STRONGLY against the above advice. While a day or two of fasting is safe for most people, extended fasting with no electrolyte or energy consumption can have extremely dangerous consequences, including death.

I would encourage anyone considering a fast to discuss the details with your physician first. DO NOT engage in extended fasting without medical clearance!

hm, so VN does come with a legal/medical disclaimer :)

and there is a good bit about eating, and what is good for you. and how even eating can give glory to God.

First Corinthians 10:31.

OP, I would not recommend this fast as it will lead to more problems. If he is a true Christian the best thing he can do is pray for you, which is what I will do. Best of luck

I'm glad you brought up Deutoronomy. Here's some of my favorite greatest hits from Moses book:

The death penalty as a punishment for apostasy from Yahwism.

A limit of six years on holding people as slaves (but only if other person is a Hebrew)

A call for genocide against the Amalekites (amongst many others).

The restriction against wearing fabric that is interwoven with wool and linen.

Not letting castrated men enter Israel.

Banning anybody who happens to have a bastard in their 2,000 most recent ancestors from heaven

Do you follow all of these rules, as well? If not, why do you pick and choose which of God's laws you will follow?

Not to devolve this into a debate on Christianity, but the above notion is absolutely incorrect. Claiming that people can do something to "earn" God's healing is completely contradictory to the teachings of Jesus and the New Testament. It is only by Grace that we receive healing, forgiveness, and salvation. In addition, your statement negates the sovereign nature of God.

To further this point, check with the author of much of the New Testament. Paul pleaded to God for healing.* --But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.-- 2 Cor 12:9

Someone's not allowed in Israel, IMO.

I love the "you can't question my faith, I know I'm right and you're wrong" arguments. It makes such perfect sense. We should start a new SolidRockGolfinian Church of Christianity since he appears to have all the answers. Teach us, o wise one.

Seriously, faith is best shared at home or in church. Live your life, and be the example you want to set, but don't presume that people with opposing views are wrong. Save your preaching for your kids. On a message board, just offer up your prayers.

This is why I find Bible thumpers hilarious. I seriously have tears running down my face from the idiocy in this thread courtesy of SolidRock. Thanks.
